Love the storyline HATE the narration
Revisado: 08-29-23
I have this series in print and have met the author on several occasions and had wonderful visits about his series. I say this because having read them, I was able to put to my own interpretation into the characters and my own accents. And I loved the series. I loved the characters, except the one… you know who he is. However, this narrator is awful and takes away from the storyline with his monotone voice and horrible accents. I’m hoping that he isn’t the same one for all the books. Definitely recommend the book and the series, but be prepared for some gawd-awful monotone narration.

Cute story and characters
Revisado: 11-13-22
Nice story if personal struggles and redemption. Just clean, enjoyable fun. The main character is strong willed and stubborn and needs to learn it’s ok to lean on someone. And the person she leans on has some of his own work to do. This was an enjoyable, lighthearted story with fun characters.

One of the worst stories…
Revisado: 10-15-22
It was awful to listen to this narrator. Her accents were so ridiculous it was hard to focus on the stories. And she kept using what I’m assuming was the wrong pronunciation for a Spanish term of endearment but she kept reading it incorrectly and with a weird accent. The males all sounded like I don’t know what!! They all had obnoxious nasal accents crossed with such snobbery it was just so unbelievable. At times the story itself was just so beyond stupid in what the main character did. I only finished the book because when I start a book I can’t just leave it in the middle. But suffice it to say this was painful. Thank goodness it wasn’t to long of a story. It would be worth having this reproduced under a different narrator, and MAYBE that would help, otherwise Don’t waste your time.

Delightful characters and lovely story. Highly recommend! That this doesn’t focus on the glory of war or all the demolition from war but the lives of those around it from both sides made it so enjoyable.

The characters were strong and yet human and I was engrossed from the start. The narrator was thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. Her accent made me feel like I was there. Strongly recommend this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the plot. The narrator did a fantastic job of telling the story and keeping the characters straight by using different tones. Can’t wait to hear the next story.
