A really good series
Revisado: 09-13-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I'd recommend this to anyone wanting real thrills and real characters in a totally exciting journey through the darkness of real crime
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jeremy Ryder is great, but I like the villain Thabethe. Well. Like him? Not in that sense.
What about Ian Patrick’s performance did you like?
Very real and in your face. I mean ear. Very intriguing voice and well articulated all the way through.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Here comes the cavalry. Good will prevail.
Any additional comments?
I liked all the books in this series, but the last two are particularly outstanding.

Historia
A top police investigative unit breaks an illegal gambling operation in the context of rampant police corruption and drug-fueled gangster violence in the city. Lead detective Jeremy Ryder is a physically powerful, quiet and meticulous investigator. His partner Navi Pillay is a small and exceptionally strong Tamil martial arts instructor, and she provides the speed and physical power to complement Ryder's incisive sleuthing abilities.

Yes. It is really interesting from the point of view of mysterious voices and thrilling action.
Would you recommend Devil Dealing to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes, definitely. It is not as good as the next three stories in the series, but still a great thriller.
Which character – as performed by Ian Patrick – was your favorite?
Thabethe the villain is a great character. Awful man.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There's a tough moment with the death of a good guy. Very sad.
Any additional comments?
I like the later books more, but this is still very good.

Historia
Midnight on a moonlit beach. Six cops execute four thugs after a heinous crime. They are unaware that there is a witness to the executions. Thrilling action explores tactical, ethical, and criminal choices made by officers of the law. A stark image of moral ambiguity underpins their struggle to maintain courageous and precarious control of all-engulfing crime. Plain-dealing cops face scrutiny in an emotional journey through choices made in the day-to-day confrontation with evil.

How brilliant is this
Revisado: 04-19-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
From the very first sentence this audio-book grabs you by the throat and takes you on a rip-roaring ride. I loved it. All my friends who like thrillers will love this
What was one of the most memorable moments of Plain Dealing?
The shootout on the beach is terrifyingly real and so filled with tension
Have you listened to any of Ian Patrick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I'm listening now to another one, so don';t have anything to compare yet, though I have read the books and love them.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Oh dear. Without doubt. Three overwhelmingly sad moments spread through the book. Am I allowed to spoil it for others? Maybe not. But the second to last scene in the last chapter has a so, so sad scene.
Any additional comments?
This is the best in the trilogy, for sure.
