Historia
The Kennedy name has long been synonymous with wealth, power, glamor, and—above all else—integrity. But this carefully constructed veneer hides a dark truth: the pattern of Kennedy men physically and psychologically abusing women and girls, leaving a trail of ruin and death in each generation’s wake. Through decades of scandal after scandal—from sexual assaults to reputational slander, suicides to manslaughter—the family and their defenders have kept the Kennedy brand intact.

Great story poor finish
Revisado: 08-10-24
I thought overall it was a good book with a lot of compelling stories, I didn’t previously know. However the last chapter or two turned into a feminist girl power lecture. Then for whatever reason felt the need to take a swipe at Donald Trump in a book about the Kennedy’s then debunked claims against Thomas Jefferson. Just a disappointing end to what to that point had been enjoyable

Historia
Edward Rulloff was a brilliant yet utterly amoral murderer—some have called him a “Victorian-era Hannibal Lecter”—whose crimes spanned decades and whose victims were chosen out of revenge, out of envy, and sometimes out of necessity.

Good till the end
Revisado: 01-22-24
I thought the story was a good one. However at the end of the book in the epilogue the author decides to get political and add some false statements. Too bad that a story from 150+ years ago has to be tied to modern day politics.

I think it’s time to retire this character
Revisado: 06-15-23
There is very little action in these books anymore. Harvard has become more of a detective than a top tier asset. I think this is the third straight book in this series that just doesn’t live up to what I came to expect from this character. The early books in this series are some of my favorite fiction books, the last few just don’t live up.
