Historia
Funnyman Adam Carolla is known for two things: hilarious rants about things that drive him crazy and personal stories about everything from his hardscrabble childhood to his slacker friends to the hypocrisy of Hollywood. He tackled rants in his first book, and now he tells his best stories and debuts some never-before-heard tales as well. Adam Carolla started broke and blue collar and has now been on the Hollywood scene for over 15 years. Yet he never lost his underdog demeanor.

It really is funny
Revisado: 11-09-22
There are situations he gets himself into that are so hilarious, you can’t make this stuff up . Also this book takes you into an LA / California vibe that’s so cool. Treat yourself to some laugh out loud moments. I have different books I listen to during my daily routine and this is my morning commute book. Makes me look forward to that traffic every morning. I so got used to his voice I’m just starting I’ll be your emotional support animal and I’m loving it . Thanks Adam .

Historia
A natural storyteller with a bottomless pit of material, Lange grew up in a close-knit, working-class Italian family in Union, New Jersey, as a maniacal Yankees fan who pursued the two things his father said he was cut out for: sports and comedy. Wild, shocking, and drop-dead hilarious, Too Fat to Fish is Artie Lange giving everything he's got to give. And like a true pro, the man never disappoints.

Historia
President Bill Clinton's My Life is the strikingly candid portrait of a global leader who decided early in life to devote his intellectual and political gifts, and his extraordinary capacity for hard work, to serving the public. It is the fullest, most concretely detailed, most nuanced account of a presidency ever written, and a testament to the positive impact on America and on the world of his work and his ideals.

Great story.. the obvious is missing
Revisado: 04-26-22
Fascinating story and was rooting for bill the whole time . One of the reasons I purchased this book was to see how if I could get a candid answer about the Monica lowintski episode. But surprisingly wasn’t even mentioned. I thought he was set up and wanted the inside scoop. I guess I’d have to look for another book about that .

Historia
In 2015, the US Women's National Soccer Team won its first FIFA championship in 16 years, culminating in an epic final game that electrified soccer fans around the world. It featured a gutsy, brilliant performance by team captain and midfielder Carli Lloyd, who made history that day, scoring a hat trick - three goals in one game - during the first 16 minutes. But there was a time when Carli almost quit the sport. In 2003 she was struggling, her soccer career at a crossroads.

Learning life lessons here
Revisado: 12-01-21
The one thing I learned oddly is don’t hold a grudge if you want to get to your goal. In the youth team, the coach told her she was no good , then when someone else got hurt, they called her and she didn’t hold a grudge. Instead, she seized the opportunity.

Historia
From Andre Agassi, one of the most beloved athletes in history and one of the most gifted men ever to step onto a tennis court, a beautiful, haunting autobiography. Agassi brings a near-photographic memory to every pivotal match and every relationship. Never before has the inner game of tennis and the outer game of fame been so precisely limned. In clear, taut prose, Agassi evokes his loyal brother, his wise coach, his gentle trainer, all the people who help him regain his balance and find love at last with Stefanie Graf.

Very well written book. What a story and what a ride. Andre takes you with him through his career’s ups and downs. Once I started this book , I couldn’t stop till the end. Just get it and enjoy it. 18 hours went by in a week for me . Worth every penny and if you enjoyed it, I recommend a similar book by Steve young called “QB”.

Historia
They've called Barry Switzer a "rogue, pirate, hustler, and con man", but they also say he's "next to God." He's one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history, winning multiple college championships and a Super Bowl, and possibly the most revered figure in the state of Oklahoma. The "outlaw" of college football, Switzer was both praised and reviled by the media, but everyone agrees that he was undeniably one of the all-time best recruiters, strategists, and motivators ever to deliver a halftime speech.

The story is very interesting but switzer has the same tone from the beginning to the end . You could tell he was reading but not telling you a story. Also at one point in the book he was just reading each week score and it was tedious to borderline annoying I had to fast forward.

Historia
As head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, Barry Switzer was the fourth most successful coach in NCAA history. Both praised and reviled by the media as the "outlaw" of college football, Switzer was characterized as the "greatest rogue, pirate, hustler, and con man" ever to command a football team. As head coach for the Dallas Cowboys, he led America's team to victory in Superbowl XXX. In Bootlegger's Boy, Switzer gets the chance to tell it all from his point of view.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

A look at South Africa from the inside
Revisado: 06-13-20
This was great storytelling. To me what I liked the most about this book was the insightful look at how South Africa was under apartheid system. The fact the country wasn’t open to the rest of the world, we didn’t know a lot about the different classes and languages. Great job Trevor Noah. I enjoyed it, I think he should think about making it into a movie .
