Historia
Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius was the final famous Stoic philosopher of the ancient world. The Meditations, his personal journal, survives to this day as one of the most loved self-help and spiritual classics of all time. In How to Think Like a Roman Emperor, psychotherapist Donald Robertson weaves stories of Marcus’s life from the Roman histories together with explanations of Stoicism—its philosophy and its psychology—to enlighten today’s listeners. He discusses Stoic techniques for coping with everyday problems, from irrational fears and bad habits to anger, pain, and illness.

Historia
In Oklahoma City, veteran investigative journalists Andrew Gumbel and Roger G. Charles puncture the myth about what happened on that day - one that has persisted in the minds of the American public for nearly two decades. Working with unprecedented access to government documents, a voluminous correspondence with Terry Nichols, and more than 150 interviews with those immediately involved, Gumbel and Charles demonstrate how much was missed in the official investigation.

Very interesting, very repetitive.
Revisado: 11-09-20
there is a lot of interesting material in this book. I think they could have written the book in about half the words if they didn't repeat the same points over and over again. Maybe they were trying to drive a point home, I'm not sure but I still enjoyed it! Thanks for the interesting read... well listen!

Historia
In the summer of 1992, federal agents surrounded a few acres of land isolated in Ruby Ridge, Idaho, where Randy Weaver, his wife Vicki, his 14 year old son Samuel, and his three young daughters were staying. Weaver was a former Green Beret who had come to the attention of the ATF and other federal agencies for a number of reasons, including associations with white supremacist groups and the possession of illegal shotguns.

not that great of a narrator and a somewhat bias
Revisado: 08-12-20
The narrator read too fast and the whole story seem to be mainly the account of the ATF and FBI. There was short snippets of the Davidian's side of the story and Weaver's. Still it was obvious it pushed harder for sympathy for the Gov and briefly touched on the opposing perspective. Probably just to say they did. Still interesting I suppose.

One big complaint!
Revisado: 06-02-17
The only complaint I have is that Noah Mann can't get these books out fast enough! Its One day of listening then a year long wait! Absolutely wonder books that keep you interested right up to the end when you realise there is another book coming and it's going to be a while until it comes out! Can I call in and have Noah read to Mark and Mark read to me? Great work guys!

A very easy and informative listen.
Revisado: 04-12-17
This book was very interesting and informational. I recommend reading this to anyone seeking to build their vocabulary mental lexicon. Not only does Kevin Flanigan give you new sophisticated words to add to your arsenal, but he also gives the history, etymology, and morphology of the words. this approach greatly enhances your reception of the words. He also puts the terms into context through rich contexual stories. Give it a listen and you won't be disappointed.

Very Informative. At times hard to understand (while listening at work) all the facts presented. I will also be buying a physical copy so I can gain a more profound understanding of the material.
