Holy guacamole where to even start. I mean seriously this book just throws you right in and it is pedal to the metal from page one. From Violet reeling from the cliffhanger of book one to the gang figuring out what they are going to do about going back to BWC (which was an iconic entrance). We get two sassy dragons this time because why have one when you can have two. We see Violet dealing with her grief and anger of the war games. SO MANY SHOCKING MOMENTS! and let’s not forget allllllll the sweetness from our main couple of Violet and Xaden (who even when they are “mad” at each other totally love each other). Cannot wait for book three!

I personally loved that we got a good chunk of the book seeing Sera figuring out how to handle things on her own. We know she has been trained but now she has to put it to the test and she is witnessing everything firsthand. Not to mention we are seeing the power players from the courts as well. I really enjoyed this book!

I have loved this story by Serena Akeroyd since the very first time I read it! Now to have it in audio is even better! Kai and Wen are perfection as Eoghan and Inessa and deliver flawless performances!!! It is amazing to have this in audio and for some of my favorite characters to finally have voices!
