Historia
At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

A little bogged down by scientific facts
Revisado: 07-03-23
I love this author’s books and read everything he writes. For this story, there was too much scientific details that made me want to skim. I didn’t need all the steps or sequences for this and that. Just give me the gist and move on with the story.

Historia
In the ruins of San Francisco California, survivors of an epidemic that swept the nation have pooled inside the cities, restructuring life as we know it. Now it’s the strong against the weak; the rich Golden against the poor Dreg. The Golden govern everything. Living above the city in four sectors, they look down on the Dreg slums. Against all odds, the Dreg have become survivors. Unable to afford proper care, their immune systems have adapted to protect them against the diseases now infecting the Golden.

So good-action packed, engrossing characters
Revisado: 12-28-20
What a world DK has created. You have the lower class, The Dregs, and the upper class, The Goldens. Cade, a Golden discovers what happens when he find out he don’t belong where he thought he did. And as he joins in with the Dregs to reclaim their humanity, he uncovers a dangerous plot to help the Goldens keep themselves at the top. I can’t wait to dive into the next book. Highly recommend.

What fun!
Revisado: 03-11-20
The narrator did an excellent job bringing this exciting story to life. The mystery isn’t solved in this installment but enough loose ends were tied up and more intriguing questions asked. Just like a favorite serial on tv. I’ll be moving on to book two.

Historia
Thirty-year-old Allie Treadwell is a singleton. She's a foodie and a runner. A restaurant reviewer by day, and a Netflix aficionado by night. Even if it doesn’t make her the most popular dinner guest in the charming southern town of Lanai, Georgia, Allie’s reviews are always honest. And her latest is no different from any other. But Allie’s review isn’t the only thing to hit the newsstand. The restaurant’s owner, Jessica Hayes, was found murdered. When Jessica’s husband, Miller, is labeled the prime suspect, Allie’s convinced the police are mistaken.

Tasty fun
Revisado: 04-15-19
This was my first food related cozy. I enjoyed the characters and didn’t see the end coming. The narrator was pretty good but at times did get a little monotone. It wasn’t enough to make me want to stop listening and I’ll get more books in the series. I also grabbed the first in one of the author’s other series.

Excellent advice!
Revisado: 09-26-18
Great advice on writing better faster. All stuff I did as a screenwriter then for some reason abandoned as a novelist. Silly me. After this book, I’m back to my old ways with some excellent improvements. I highly recommend it. Read it and then follow her advice!

So exciting don’t listen in the car!
Revisado: 07-23-18
I had to turn this off in heavy traffic I was so into what I was hearing. The narrator creates a thrilling ride that does not stop till the end. And there’s a nice little moment at that end that’s makes me want to jump right into the next book. Joanna Penn is definitely a master story teller.
