Hops perspectives too much, the tension is forced, and the twist at the end is such a let down. Boring.

Ends on a cliffhanger with no resolution

The story doesn’t have an ending. In it’s final moments, almost all the characters have role reversals — up is down, left is right, and our main character is faced with an impossible, doomsday oriented task when the the story abruptly ends. Even if a sequel exists, this is frustrating experience.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is classic Jules Verne, and it deserves a narration that captures the delicious joy of scientific discovery and adventure so embedded in the novel. Mr. Killavey, sadly, does not offer such narration. His performance is little more than a reading of the words, passed through quickly and without understanding. All joy is lost.
