I have always admired, adored, and respected this brilliant woman. I loved learning more about her background and life story. She was not only strong of mind, but strong in spirit and courage. Thank you for this excellent book. You are a hero. Rest easy amongst the beautiful stars that you loved so much with God now, Mrs. Johnson.

Great comedy and performance

I love how she has taken the most painful times in her life and not only found humor in them but encourages others who may also be struggling with mental health issues. She is a supportive survivor who is creative, funny, and a great performer.

Ok but a bit off-putting

This lovely woman so beautifully accomplished much and worked hard to get there. It is inspiring. However, her referring to herself as “a prodigy” multiple times and frequently pointing out in detail
how fantastic she is throughout the book is off-putting. Even with all of the self-aggrandizement, this book may serve to bring more diversity to ballet. I so hope it does. As for the narrative, she was difficult to understand. For the longest time, whenever she said “artistic” director it sounded like “autistic” director. I would listen to sections several times to try and discern what she was saying but on several occasions I had to give up.

Elton John is one of the most talented, dynamic, creative artists in this age. With his fantastic wit and charm, he tells a soulful and inspiring story of his career and life. Well-written with excellent narration. One of my favorite memoirs to date.

The best autobiography I have ever read!!

You will laugh (HARD!!), you will be shocked, you will smile, you will cry, you will forever be glad that you listened to this audiobook. Ozzy is a legend. Musically talented, great personality, warm and open honesty, hilarious, loving, and just a great guy. Cheers!!

A smart, down-to-earth, and very wise leader. He eloquently points out how rigid, non contextual decisions made by military leaders nowhere near the battlefield who stick to “do what I say…PERIOD” can lead to catastrophic consequences. THIS leader is bright, wise, immerses himself into every aspect possible of the enemy to gain intelligence, and listens to his subordinates, Great for anyone who loves military history and useful for all others to consider when making life decisions. Well-written, engaging, intelligent, and witty. Oh, and the narrator is SUPERB!!! All around a winner!!

I have read many war memoirs and this hands-down is one of the best. It provides a moving, realistic account of the life of a soldier, an infantryman and leader. It is raw, exceptionally well-written, and honest. DO NOT PASS THIS ONE OVER!! Soldiers like these make our military the best on the planet.
