Historia
We live in an anxious age. Long-held certainties, cherished beliefs, and social trust are crumbling. Don’t expect things to get better. For too long we have taken our Christian heritage—the heritage upon which America was built—for granted. But we’re rapidly, and now inevitably, losing the Christian culture that shaped the American republic. What will take its place is a despotism—and a new paganism, worse than the old, because it will be based on a hatred of Christianity.

The Answer
Revisado: 04-27-24
For years accusations have been used to tear down the walls that have protected the wonderful life of these times we live in and because we have not known why they should be defended we have allowed the destroyers from within the walls to continue unimpeded for the most part.
This author has provided, like no other writer before, the answers as to why the traditions of Western society need to be defended and strengthened and why those walls need to be restored and strengthened as soon as possible.

Sex is cheap. Coupled sexual activity has become more widely available than ever. Cheap sex has been made possible by two technologies that have little to do with each other - the Pill and high-quality pornography - and its distribution made more efficient by a third technological innovation, online dating. Together, they drive down the cost of real sex, and in turn slow the development of love, make fidelity more challenging, sexual malleability more common, and have even taken a toll on men's marriageability. Cheap Sex takes listeners on an extended tour inside the American mating market.

The way this very troubling information is presented, analyzed and commented on was not just frank, and it was, but the commentary was very responsible from the perspective of a religious citizen who is well served to understand exactly what the situation and the stakes entail.

Historia
A collection of inspired writings (originally in Greek) about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, the apostles, and other followers of Jesus Christ. The New Testament is commonly divided into the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, Paul’s epistles, the general epistles, and the book of Revelation. The four Gospels - the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - are accounts of the life of Christ. The Book of Acts records the history of the Church and the apostles, especially Paul’s missionary travels, after Christ’s death.

Historia
The Book of Mormon is a religious record of three groups of people who migrated from the Old World to the American continents. These groups were led by prophets who recorded their religious and secular histories on metal plates. The Book of Mormon records the visit of Jesus Christ to people in the Americas following his resurrection. A 200-year era of peace followed that visit of Christ.

Historia
Ann Coulter is back, more fearless than ever. In Adios, America she touches the third rail in American politics, attacking the immigration issue head-on and flying in the face of La Raza, the Democrats, a media determined to cover up immigrants' crimes, churches that get paid by the government for their "charity," and greedy Republican businessmen and campaign consultants - all of whom are profiting handsomely from mass immigration that's tearing the country apart.

One of the most important books of our time
Revisado: 02-17-19
This book is one of the most disturbing books I have ever read. It is disturbing because it is like informing me that my house is entirely infested with termites and its almost too late to do anything about it. Almost. Besides that I don't have the funds or the resources to do anything about it.
As usual Coulter's research is impeccable and extensive. Her humor and sarcasm, as always, getting across her points with the kind of effectiveness that is vintage Anne Coulter.
And as usual, the message of this prophet is disturbing. I pray that this time we hearken and obey. I hope and I pray. But its probably is too late. Isn't it Anne?

Historia
Is the world really falling apart? Is the ideal of progress obsolete? In this elegant assessment of the human condition in the third millennium, cognitive scientist and public intellectual Steven Pinker urges us to step back from the gory headlines and prophecies of doom, which play to our psychological biases. Instead, follow the data: Pinker shows that life, health, prosperity, safety, peace, knowledge, and happiness are on the rise, not just in the West but worldwide.

Any additional comments?
I perceive an unfair and biased antagonism (bordering on self-denial) by this author against the very considerable contributions of religious thinkers to the development of Enlightenment Era thinking upon the western culture and especially upon many of the most influential writers and most notably, the American Founding Fathers.
Most assuredly men of far less appreciation for spiritual resources like Thomas Paine were a great part of the building of the nation we call the land of the free but he seems almost entirely blind to the fact that religious minds held by the great majority of the people and cultures of the west is what ultimately made freedom's headquarters not only won and established but survived and prospered after all manner of threats against it continuing because (and by virtue of) of the degree of goodness of the English culture of America and their more innate inclination and devotion to freedom and sense of righteousness before their God.
Outside of those concerns I was impressed by his stubborn tough love application of facts to dispute the anti western civ doctrine of most college academics and anti-religious ideologues against America's contributions to the great improvements to life for men of all nations and people.

Historia
In the earliest days of our nation, a handful of unsung heroes - including women, slaves, and an Iroquois chief - made crucial contributions to our republic. They pioneered the ideas that led to the Bill of Rights, the separation of powers, and the abolition of slavery. Yet their faces haven't been printed on our currency or carved into any cliffs. Instead they were marginalized, silenced, or forgotten - sometimes by an accident of history, sometimes by design.

Why do we not know about these great men and women
Revisado: 09-10-17
For those of us who are drawn to such writers as Mike Lee we know the answer. It should be a call to make quick remedy of that situation for the sake of our children and the future of our nation and the leaving of a greater heritage and legacy when our labors are forever ended. If we do this perhaps we ourselves will not be forgotten.

>"How unusual is it, really, in the history of all known human experience, to enjoy the blessing of living free?" The answer may surprise you. In The Miracle of Freedom, Chris and Ted Stewart make a strong case that fewer than five percent of all people who have ever lived on the Earth have lived under conditions that we could consider "free". So where did freedom come from, and how are we fortunate enough to experience it in our day?

This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

Invaluable work and contribution to understanding
Revisado: 05-20-13
What did you love best about Black Rednecks and White Liberals?
I thank God for Professor Sowell's great labor and the incredibly insightful points made in the culmination of a great work of truth. He has touched on aspects of human behavior that most people are afraid to address let alone research.
Nevertheless there is no other work that surpasses BRWL as a phenomenally well researched library and contribution to those of us who thirst to not only know the truth but to have means of dispensing that truth to all we can expose to it.
Congratulations professor Sowell and God bless you sir.
What other book might you compare Black Rednecks and White Liberals to and why?
Mugged
Have you listened to any of Hugh Mann’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He gives a very excellent representation and presention of the Professor's work.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The information on middleman minorities was very interesting but the most valuable information that every American (especially Americans of African descent) should know is the chapter on the history of slavery. There are many books on slavery but Sowell's perspective places the blames as well as the credits exactly where they belong.
Any additional comments?
I pray to God that this book will become a standard for any truth seeking group or individuals
