This book was so needed. I’m very goal-oriented. I can become so focused on work that I don’t enjoy the gift of the present. This assured me that rest is essential to the health of my body, soul, and relationships.

No redemption
Revisado: 11-21-19
I have read several books by this author. I really loved that her stories didn’t end with a marriage and happily ever after. The previous books showed the triumph of love through the reality of married life with its varied ups and downs. I actually cried while reading this book. The parents had no connection with their daughter. Even the brother mentioned had no sympathy or compassion for the heroine. The ending was over the top and atrocious. ***spoiler alert*** The heroine, Enya, is literally betrayed and her father takes her away with hands shackled behind her back while the hero is tied down and wailing for her. Then the heroine is dumped at a nunnery to be have her skin scraped off immediately followed by the administration of an abortion tonic that causes her to lose her child. The descriptions of pain, bleeding, and betrayal were just too overwhelming to me. The end was rushed and had no resolution. What man would calmly submit and say nothing while he’s looking at the man that caused him to lose his child and his wife to endure torture. I regret the hours that I lost. This one was awful with a ton of loose ends.
