Finally a series where you actually LIKE the characters!!
Revisado: 04-06-24
Everything has already been said about how great this book and trilogy is. Besides all that, I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed having characters that are actually likable! And not just one or two but literally all of the main ones and most of the secondary characters.
I don’t know how he did it as it seems like a rare trait to have these days. I couldn’t get past book 4-5 in wheel of time because by then I hated or disliked pretty much all the characters..
This series found a way to make every character have depth, strong development and overall very likable in a different way. Can’t recommend this serious or author enough!

Flew by way too fast!
Revisado: 09-20-23
It’s brutal making these as part 1/2.. before I knew it the audio was over:( Only having read the books once, I’m enjoying these dramatized versions almost as much as the first time!

Angry Women and Reluctant Heroes
Revisado: 07-21-21
And somehow the angry women are the more likable.. first time read(listening) to this series. I get the author is playing out the reluctant hero thing but man is it annoying for it to go on for 3 full books with so little character development..
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
Rand was barely in this book but even the little he was pissed me off.. like still being reluctant to take the sword at the end and doubting if he’s the dragon for absolutely no reason..
Perrin made but for Rands missing POV and become 2x as annoying.. so much so that I truly wouldn’t mind if he would just die.
At least Matt become only 80% annoying this book.
Not sure if I can make it through this series.. I honestly feel that if this series just came out and only had these three books, not nearly as many people would like it. And I would say it’s one of the worst start of a series I’ve ever read. Way make all the character so damn unlikable?!! Even the side characters that get added are almost always annoying to be. It also doesn’t help the voice actor makes the boys sound as whiny, agitated, snappy, and angry as possible whether the text calls for it or not.
I will give it one more book then decide if I’ll call it quits. Also what’s with all three books ending practically the same way.. is this gonna be a theme the whole series? Moves at a snails, almost nothing happening pace for 90% of the book then Rand does his thing?.. how does the author get away with this, I do not know.

If you don’t like YA it’s a pass like always...
Revisado: 01-10-20
I love Brandon Sanderson but hate YA.. I thought this book could be different but no, it’s the same as any YA written for kids. I made it about halfway before I couldn’t stand it any longer. Logic, themes, dialog, character development, everything is immature and eye roll worthy. Wish I could enjoy Young Adult books but I just can’t. This book is no exception, strong pass if you also don’t like YA.

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

One of the worst books I've ever read/listened to.
Revisado: 11-16-18
I have no idea how so many people can like this book. Ready Player One was probably a top 5 book for me but this one is so bad it is confusing and even suspicious to how the same author could of written it. I didn't have any expectations based on Ready Player One. If I hadn't read that book I think it would of been even worst and I definitely wouldn't of finished.
In addition, the narrator is good, but for this book he somehow made it even more annoying of a book. The only solace is that it is so bad it could be funny or annoying however I mostly just found it profoundly bad, unrealistic, and annoying.
