But as soon as the pair settles in Paris, an old friend arrives with news about a demon-worshiping cult called the Crimson Hand that is bent on causing chaos around the world. A cult that was apparently founded by Magnus himself. Years ago. As a joke. I loved listening to this! Getting to hear about how their story began and i throughly enjoyed the plot. I felt as if I was seeing Alec’s character developing right in front of my eyes (or ears..?). The narration was very well done, the only thing was when he was doing the accent I had a bit of a hard time understanding him but other than that, the emotion was there. Now I am sad that it’s over and I have to go back to reality. Definitely recommend, specially if you love Malec!

I took my time listening to this one. I made sure to go back and listen to the other two again before starting it.
The story line is just so good and as always, it pulls me in no matter what I’m doing. I was happy to see where it ended and I’ve gotta say that it wasn’t as devastating as I had imagined it. The whole time I was listening i had this feeling of dread, specially when Kieran and Mark were involved, like something bad was going to happen. But you’ll have to listen to really find out.
The narration was so well performed I love him!

Loved it!
Revisado: 11-13-18
Loved every moment of this book. The story is so well written and the character development was just so well thought out. I felt the heartbreak, the love, the frustration and everything in between.
The narrator did a very good job with the story and transporting me to where I needed to be to imagine the story.
All in all it was great and I definitely recommend it.

Historia
Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it. Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things. But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them? Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated. Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

Beautiful
Revisado: 10-31-18
First I’d like to say that I loved the narration of this book a lot, they both did such a great job! Froy really delivered his emotions and Galvin was so great as well, I loved his narration in “The perks of being a wallflower” and I knew he would do an amazing job with this too and I just love his voice!
The book itself was so beautiful, the story of two boys being brought together by the universe and the whole journey they went on to find each other made this listen so great. The character development was really well written as well and I feel like Arthur was the one who grew the most. The ending was so emotional but the epilogue definitely made up for it.
I am hoping that we get a sequel soon!
Definitely recommend this listen!!

Historia
David Sheff's story is a first: a teenager's addiction from the parent's point of view, a real-time chronicle of the shocking descent into substance abuse and the gradual emergence into hope.
Before meth, Sheff's son, Nic, was a varsity athlete, honor student, and award-winning journalist. After meth, he was a trembling wraith who stole money from his eight-year-old brother and lived on the streets. With haunting candor, Sheff traces the first warning signs, the attempts at rehabilitation, and, at last, the way past addiction. He shows us that, whatever an addict's fate, the rest of the family must care for one another, too, lest they become addicted to addiction.

Beautiful story!
Revisado: 10-18-18
This book was so inspiring in how his father and all of his family never gave up hope. It didn’t matter how bad things got, they were always there through his journey. I really enjoyed listening to some of the ways the dad would cope with the different stages of Nick’s addiction and in a way I found myself nodding along because even though the situation in my life is a different one, I still felt like it applied to me and that was comforting in a way.
The narrating was very well done, I feel the emotion every step of the way so that was nice.
I think this book is good for anyone who is just going through a though time in general because at the end is about overcoming the hardships that life throws at you.

I watched the Netflix movie before purchasing the audiobook, I liked the movie but I really enjoyed the book. It was more realistic than what they tried to do in the movie.
I thought the narration was really good and she would have the right reactions or changes of voice at the right moments.
Overall it was an entertaining one!

Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

I love Mindy!
Revisado: 08-07-18
I love Mindy! I recently decided to watch her show and just loved it, I then bought this audiobook and it sat on my list for a couple of months before I finally listened to it.
I find her very funny and I enjoy her way of writing. She has a unique way of narrating her stories that I find appealing and her comedy is pretty good.
I really enjoyed her being the one narrating and the random appearances from BJ and Michael.
All in all I enjoyed it.

I recently got separated from my spouse of 8 years, we were together for over 10. I needed to listen to something that would help me move forward in my life, this book gave me some great advice, I was worried of what people might say of the fact that I was going through this. I believe Sarah gives some really great goals and explains ways to get to a place where you can really say that you don’t give a f*ck!

I am so in love with all of the story and how it all ties together. I cannot wait for the rest!
The only thing that got me was when the female narrator would say “anything” maybe no one will notice but if you read this then listen to it you might just notice it haha I just found myself cringe at it every time. But I like I said, I love the book and the story I just dealt with it.

Great book!
Revisado: 06-19-18
I love the series, I’ve read them so many times, every time there’s a new book I go back to the beginning. I’ve also listened to the audiobooks three times so far because I feel like it’s a completely different journey than reading it.
The performance though in this particular one wasn’t my most favorite, I found myself making faces when Es would use that raspy voice for Simon. Other than that he was good. Now for Molly’s narration, I don’t know if that’s really how her voice sounds, which is cool or whatever but I wasn’t a huge fan of it. Specially when it was for Clary, it was like she was trying to make her voice sound small but it didn’t work? I don’t know maybe that’s just me and you might just love it!! All in all, I do love the books and the story and that is why I still come back and listen to it again and again even when I have some dislikes in the narration. But hey, you can’t always have excellent ones like the HP ones! 😆
