Life changing. I don’t write many reviews but did so you would see this and get the book. This guy is the real deal. I first discovered him through The Gap and the Gain and will now read everything he has or will write.

We all “know” most of these concepts but don’t follow them consistently. Great reminder and solid program.

Historia
What does it mean to be a man in the modern world? Throughout history, being a man has meant different things. Maybe being a man was about being a good hunter, or a good soldier, a good businessman, or maybe good with women. Hard Times Create Strong Men examines what it means to be a man in the modern world relative to money, sex, religion, and politics. This audiobook examines what worked and what doesn’t work based on proven history instead of feelings.

Read/listen until the end
Revisado: 08-01-21
This is one of the most impactful books I’ve ever read or listened to. Not always easy to continue but I encourage you to stick with it. If you are a man and want to be more in touch with what it means to be a man, read this. If you are a woman, this book will be extremely uncomfortable for you but you will be a better woman for having listened to it - not because you’ll understand men better but because you’ll understand yourself better. Do yourself a favor and power through this one.

Factfulness: The stress-reducing habit of carrying only opinions for which you have strong supporting facts. When asked simple questions about global trends - what percentage of the world's population live in poverty; why the world's population is increasing; how many girls finish school - we systematically get the answers wrong. In Factfulness, professor of international health and global TED phenomenon Hans Rosling, together with his two longtime collaborators, Anna and Ola, offers a radical new explanation of why this happens.

Great premise. Poor execution.

First, I'm glad I listened to the couple of chapters and did pick up some good information. However, this is one of those that you could get nearly all of the same benefit from reading a brief summary of the book. Way too much biographical information that was self aggrandizing. And way too much filler. I'm not particularly politically focused one way or the other but his frequent political references were annoying. I didn't necessarily think he was wrong on these matters but it was distracting.
It is good to know that the world is generally moving in the right direction to on so many fronts and I do have a renewed sense of optimism after listening to the short amount that I did.

In The Five Levels of Attachment, he will help you gain awareness of the agreements you have been implicitly making all these years that shape your reality and affect your future and show you how to release the attachments which no longer reflect who you really are.

As technology races ahead, what will people do better than computers? It’s easy to imagine a nightmare scenario in which computers simply take over most of the tasks that people now get paid to do. The best-selling author of Talent Is Overrated explains how the skills the economy values are changing in historic ways. The abilities that will prove most essential to our success are no longer the technical, classroom-taught left-brain skills that economic advances have demanded from workers in the past.

Historia
Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.
