Historia
Karigan G’ladheon, running away from school, is traveling through a deep forest when a galloping horse pounds up to her, its rider impaled by two black-shafted arrows. With his dying breath, he tells her he is a Green Rider, one of the magical messengers of the King. Before he dies, he makes Karigan swear to deliver the message he’s carrying, and gives her his green coat, with the symbolic brooch of his office.

Love this series
Revisado: 06-04-21
There are very few books that I have read more than once, but the Green Rider series is one of them. The story is complex, and the characters are empowered. The depth of background and multiple mini stories happening make it a treat to listen to a second and third time because I pick up on something new each time! This is a story that is great for YA and adults alike. I definitely recommend!!!

Historia
History has all but forgotten.... In the spring of 1708, an invading Jacobite fleet of French and Scottish soldiers nearly succeeded in landing the exiled James Stewart in Scotland to reclaim his crown. Now, Carrie McClelland hopes to turn that story into her next best-selling novel. Settling herself in the shadow of Slains Castle, she creates a heroine named for one of her own ancestors and starts to write. But then she discovers her novel is more fact than fiction....

One of my new favorite books
Revisado: 04-11-21
I love stories with a time travel element, but I found this one even more amazing than most. I cried out of utter sadness, and cheered for joy at various parts of this book.
It is a slower paced book, but everything has a purpose to building a wonderful story! I loved the characters and the way the author drew you in. It’s a beautiful story! I definitely recommend!

Exciting turn of events
Revisado: 02-02-20
I really enjoyed this book. Three generations of families entwined. Well, actually 4... but that’s a surprise I don’t want to foil. So sad for each generation and the stupid decisions they made. I would have loved to see Olive happy!

Historia
When wilderness guide Harper Ward is summoned to the small town sheriff's office in Helena Springs, Montana, to provide assistance on a case, she is shocked to find that their only suspect in the double murder investigation is a man described as a savage. But the longer she watches the man known only as Lucas, on the station surveillance camera, the more intrigued she becomes. He certainly looks primitive with his unkempt appearance and animal skin attire, but she also sees intelligence in his eyes, sensitivity in his expression. Who is he?

Colleen Hoover does it again!
Revisado: 12-05-19
Every Coleen Hoover book manages to pull me in and surprise me. This one is no different. While there were times I wanted to turn the book off and never finish it (because of the nature of the topic) I couldn’t get it out of my head and was forced to continue. I loved the ending, and am so glad I finished it! Great book, and I definitely recommend!

Jane Eyre storyline... don’t waste your credit
Revisado: 06-13-18
All the reviews I’ve seen reference Nancy Drew, but I was very irritated that this is a cheap remake of Jane Eyre. I only got 1/2 way through before realizing that it wasn’t going to get better.
No imagination. The author took one of the most classic books, and best books ever written IMO and turned it into this cheap remake.
If you’ve never read Jane Eyre, but are going after this book based on Nancy Drew, you will also be disappointed.

Historia
When siblings Dan and Hayley Daley inherit their late grandmother's derelict Victorian farmhouse, it seems like a dream come true. All they have to do is fix the place up and sell it for a tidy profit! Except - as anyone who has renovated an old house knows - things are never that easy. The walls are rapidly crumbling around them, the architect is a certified lunatic, the budget is spiraling...and then there's the disturbingly intelligent cow to worry about.

I want more!
Revisado: 02-13-18
I rated it a 4 in overall because I feel like the book ended too soon! It really needed another chapter to really wrap things up.
Otherwise, the book was very good! I’m an avid “listener” and this is easily one of the top books I’ve listened to in the last 12 months or more! I sometimes felt the narrators voice was too soft and lulling, but the storyline is so good that any small issues with the narrator are easily overlooked.
I definitely recommend!

Beautiful understanding of God's love
Revisado: 02-21-13
Would you listen to The Shack again? Why?
The moment this book was over I wanted to start it again! The author has an amazing ability to explain God's love in such a simple way! Anyone having a crisis of faith should read this book!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved all the characters. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried.
Have you listened to any of Roger Mueller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first time listening to this reader. I usually don't like male readers, but Roger was fantastic! He did a fantastic job!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book helped heal the all the fractured bits of my soul. God is love, and this book demonstrated that so well!
