Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Decent, definitely a filler.
Revisado: 09-13-24
My inner nerd always enjoys these, there well written, reporter as a fantastic job with the performance, and you can’t help but love Bob. That being said, this book didn’t move the timeline a lot, but gave a lot of set up, backstory, and filled in some gaps. Overall, after listening to it, I’m not 100% sure what I know now that I didn’t know then, But, I did enjoy it, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Lots of Meh with some greatness!
Revisado: 08-24-24
This book seemed like it had more filler than most of his books where the characters just seem to argue back-and-forth, or some weird tangent just going off on something, but the reader doesn’t care about.
Still love the story, and the wit. This one just seemed a lot more meh than most.

Amazing book. Gets a little too Philosophical in the middle (similar to some of the beginning books) but sets the stage for some more amazing books. I’m almost scared of the next few as I LOVE all the characters!!!

Historia
Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

I am always so happy when another book comes out, the development of the main character, and all the other characters of the last seven books has been fantastic. It carries through and this one, and I cannot wait to listen to the next.

Nate wants more to life than moving from town to town, hustling chess with his con-man grandfather or wagering pick-up games online. A new immersive game opens up the chance to bring in a steady paycheck. Maybe enough to convince his grandfather to stay straight. Little does he know how his actions will change his life. A GameLit coming of age story.

Pretty good and fun
Revisado: 11-02-22
Pretty fun story to listen to. Takes a completely different approach to the main character than most fantasy books. Rarely, do we get a main character that doesn’t want to be the center of attention!
Near raider does a pretty good job, but has some odd background noises sometime. Nothing that truly interferes with the listening experience, but is noticeable and snaps you out of the story sometime. That being said, easy voice to listen to.
Great cliffhanger at the end, definitely makes you want to dive straight into the next book. Not the best book I’ve read this year, but very worth listening to!

The apocalypse will be televised! You know what’s worse than breaking up with your girlfriend? Being stuck with her prize-winning show cat. And you know what’s worse than that? Wow.
I mean wow. This series is just so good. The first book (this one) is a little slower and harder to get into than the rest, but it is only because Dinniman is building the world that Carl et al go on to explore.
Fantastic premise (original is many ways as well) and fun characters that get more and more depth as the series continues. Also, the company that did the recording (Soundbooth?) made is so fun to listen to as it has so many sound effects in the book.

Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

GREAT story, which is what we would all expect from JK Rowling... I mean Galbraith. Cormoran and Robin continue to build a world that is enjoyable, relatable, and the author continues to flesh out the characters. What makes this one hard is that there are numerous chapters that are essentially a chatroom online, and no matter how good Glenister is (and he is) reading a back and forth chat in your head while listening is haaaarrrrdddddd.

The bickering kills the story.
Revisado: 10-31-22
I wanted to like this book. The premise is great, the world is well-built, and the magic is interesting. But the whining of the characters and the constant back-and-forth complaining just took all the joy out of it for me. Its also semi-erotic is some ways (which I was not expecting) that took some of the fun from it. Some people like that, but it's not my cup of tea...

One bubble. Four castles. Fifteen days. Capture each one, and the stairwell is unlocked. Here's the thing. It's never easy. Carl and his team can't go it alone. Not this time.
