Better consumed along with the book
Revisado: 11-10-23
Interview style with her mom & Dad, Billie talked about her journey to stardom. it was very sweet to hear it in their own voices, but they only talk about their photos so it was hard to listen while driving without feeling left out.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Revisado: 09-19-23
I thought this book was ridiculous for about 60% but had fun all the way and then it made me care about the characters without me noticing
. 5 stars all the way.

Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

loved 😍 it's very physical affection heavy and i could have done with less (the spice level is fine, it was just constant) but overall really enjoyable! this was my first Emily H book and I will definitely be checking out the rest!

Revisado: 04-18-23
this is my 5th Karen ya thriller and although this one didn't blow me away, I do always enjoy my time reading them and the twist in the last chapter had me wanting a sequel. the small romance plots are my favorite part of these books too.

Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin.

Historia
For cynical 23-year-old August, moving to New York City is supposed to prove her right: that things like magic and cinematic love stories don’t exist, and the only smart way to go through life is alone. She can’t imagine how waiting tables at a 24-hour pancake diner and moving in with too many weird roommates could possibly change that. And there’s certainly no chance of her subway commute being anything more than a daily trudge through boredom and electrical failures.

More than just fluff!
Revisado: 08-24-22
In the end this book just wasn't for me, but I can't ignore how well it was written, how interesting the plot was, and how fleshed out the characters are! Definitely has lots of elements of romance, but there is a lot more going on so I'd say it's worth a read if you love romance novels!

Historia
Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age 17. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now, Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows. The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone has declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing.

really liked the characters but got a little lost
Revisado: 07-30-22
The characters and the lore of the story were very intriguing and how they interacted with each other but the details of the drama that was happening in the town got very confusing but the ending was very surprising and I really enjoyed the read.

As the daughter of the most powerful trader in the Narrows, the sea is the only home 17-year-old Fable has ever known. It's been four years since the night she watched her mother drown during an unforgiving storm. The next day, her father abandoned her on a legendary island filled with thieves and little food. Slow Burn but worth it
Revisado: 02-26-22
Made me nastolgic for Pirates of the Caribbean, but has less adventure and no magic. Can be brutal at times and I wish the main character was more outspoken, but the author created a great world and great characters that you fall in love with. Romance burns slow, but the story moves quick enough.

Only John Green
Revisado: 02-15-22
I'm not sure why I was expecting a light hearted read about the silliness that is in the world, but only John Green can make you contemplate your own existence when talking about Canadian geese. It is very well written, but I have a hard time rating it higher than his own rating of Haley's Comet.
