Historia
When Amy Daughters reconnected with her old pal Dana on Facebook, she had no idea how it would change her life. Though the two women hadn’t had any contact in 30 years, it didn’t take them long to catch up—and when Amy learned that Dana’s son Parker was doing a second stint at St. Jude battling cancer, she was suddenly inspired to begin writing the pair weekly letters. When Parker died, Amy—not knowing what else to do—continued to write Dana. Eventually, Dana wrote back, and the two became pen pals, sharing things through the mail that they had never shared before.

Good concept
Revisado: 06-18-23
I enjoyed the concept of the book, but I did not enjoy the reading. I wish it was just read in a natural tone.

Historia
In her hit Netflix comedy special Baby Cobra, an eight-month pregnant Ali Wong resonated so strongly that she even became a popular Halloween costume. Wong told the world her remarkably unfiltered thoughts on marriage, sex, Asian culture, working women, and why you never see new mom comics on stage but you sure see plenty of new dads.

Very vulgar
Revisado: 05-17-22
My fault I didn’t check this out better. Very vulgar, which added nothing to the experience.

Historia
Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is 77 years old and crazy, standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-men-who-want-to-talk-about-Jesus crazy. She is also Elsa's best and only friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother's stories, in the Land of Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.

I was really looking forward to this book. It was filled with a ton of statistics, which I enjoyed, but I was hoping for a more humorous rendition. It has quite a bit of cursing, which did nothing to add to the story, in fact I believe it took away from it. Maybe I was expecting more of a Garrison Keillor take on the book.
