This was the third one in a series that I have enjoyed listening to. The couple in this one were very sweet. I like Bastone’s independent and artsy women and the marshmallow men. Super cute.

I did not realize that these little stories are all hooked together! Vera and Cal from the first story are connected to Elliot, the adorably awkward tenant that lives in the building of the woman he develops a phone romance with who lives in his building. The story has some surprisingly mature subject matter, which is really well written and very enjoyable. I enjoyed the contrast between the two lead characters and the opposites attract. This one was wonderful! What a great story!

What a spectacular presentation! The new voice actor who has taken to reading the Pendergast novels has not been a disappointment! He is very competent and creative in being able to accurately convey the characters. The storyline for this one was really good, and it was extremely satisfying at the end! I am super happy with the direction that Preston and Child have taken Pendergast and his friends, and I am almost at a loss to where these stories are going to go next. This one could technically be a “happy ever after”. Diogenes Pendergast has always been one of my very favorite characters and I am thrilled to have seen him come back one more time.
