Set in 1937 in rural Tennessee, with the construction of a monumental dam serving as background, Watershed delivers a gripping story of characters whose ambitions and yearnings threaten to overflow the banks of their time and place. Nathan, an engineer hiding from his past, and Claire, a housewife, struggle to find their footing in the newly electrified, job-hungry, post-Depression South. Colorful!

The story was engaging from the first sentence. I found the overall story full of color and description. I found myself falling in love with the characters. I couldn't wait to get back to listening when I was forced to take a break. The narrator was perfect for the book. the reading was just the right speed and the interpretation of characters priceless!
