Finally Levi & Tara’s story!!

These two always do a great job of narration. I’ve read and listened to a lot of Melissa foster books, I’m pretty sure this one is my favorite. Tara and Levi were awesome and so was Joey.

TERRIBLE NARRATION

The story is great. I was so glad to read it following the first 2 books of the series but I should have read it over listening because the narration for Alison was atrocious.

Four star story, one star narration

I’ve listed to these narrators in the past and they did a decent job but these characters just deserved better. The male narration was particularly bad, Beckett was made to sound like a man in his 50s and when the male narration attempted to do the female characters or really any of the additional characters he added a bit of a southern twang to it which was not supported by what the female narrator did to those same characters. Overall I think these two narrators just simply didn’t work well together. However, Catherine Cowles is amazing and I’m very glad that I read this book before I listen to it.

Narration is TERRIBLE

I thought about giving the narration 2 stars because the voice Angela Dawe used for the main characters (Ethan & Sienna) weren’t that bad, they were actually pretty good but the side characters were AWFUL. She basically used the same voice for almost all the men characters and her female voices were not only the same but all sounded like they had been 60 year old smokers & honestly sounded more like men than women. Not to mention the mistakes, I won’t mention them all but how about at least the first one that caught me off guard I had to rewind and listen again…. Sienna states that’s pretty sure she spotted her escort for the evening “Ethan Dare” her last name is Dare, his is Knight. Come on…

The story was good. I enjoyed this book especially since I’ve already read all the other Dare siblings novels (with the exception of Jason who is next)

Great narration

Sophie Eastlake does a fantastic job of narrating all the characters and has the perfect spin for each.

The Dare siblings are great as a whole. Some stories I enjoyed more than others but overall I’m glad I listened to them all to really get a feel for this family.

Predictable yet sweet

Hilarious Listening...

First off, I'd like to say that I waited to listen to The One Night (the prequel to this book, the telling of Nora & Coopers history) until the night before this book was released so that I wouldn't be left with the cliffhanger I read about for weeks to come. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not because although I was glad to dive right into this book and read the outcome of Nora & Cooper, while also getting to know Cooper siblings and read of their HEA's, the narration was changed on both characters and that really frustrated me along with the fact that the writer changed a few things in this book from what happened in The One Night.

The voice narration for Ford better matched the narrator that did Coopers voice from The One Night. Overall the narrators did a good enough job, I suppose, although I didn't think the males changed their voices enough to distinguish between the characters, I found myself going back 10 seconds often or even going back to the book to make sure I understood who was speaking. The female narrators did well too, but of course no one tops CJ Bloom, who just nails whatever character she's voicing for. She's one of my favorite narrators, alway opting to listen to a book she's narrating over reading just because she really knows how to bring a book to life. Honestly, CJ Bloom could have read the whole book and it probably would have been a better listen.

Overall, this book was HILARIOUS and touching too.

Narration is perfect

I love this series. I was looking forward to Axel's story and wasn't disappointed. The narration by both CJ Bloom and Nelson Hobbs was perfect, as usual.
