Great Christian Historic Romance

I really enjoyed this book. I like how the author was able to get the couple together early on, but kept the story interesting until the end. There were sad, happy, funny, angry, romantic and victorious moments throughout. So many Christian romance novels keep the couples apart throughout the entire book and then they declare their love at the very end and you feel like it was all rushed and you just get a snippet in the epilogue. So glad this wasn’t one of those.

Amazing!

I love Francine Rivers, but I usually prefer the historical novels. This one has both and is an incredible story that makes you not only feel God’s love and forgiveness but reminds the reader of His divine interventions throughout our lives. The characters are well developed and the way the story is written and read, you definitely feel all the emotions the characters are going through. It’s one of those books that when you have to take a break from listening to do normal things in your life like go to work, you still find yourself thinking about the story and can’t wait to get back to it. I highly recommend this book!

Loved it!

I enjoyed the first, but this one was even better. It gives you all the feels. There were moments when I was on the edge of my seat, moments I was angry and moments I wanted to cry. I got used to the narrator during the first book, so that didn’t really bother me. This series is the first I’ve read by this author and I really like her style. A great Christian romance!

Good story

The story is very good and keeps your interest. At first I wasn’t sure I could listen to the narrator thru the whole book because her tone was sort of flat and robotic. But a few chapters in, it got better. I’m glad I finished because I really liked how the author developed the characters and the story.

What a sad story

I guess because this was an audio book, it took me a few chapters to get all the characters straight. The story takes place in Ancient Rome a few years after Christ’s death. It’s heart wrenching to hear what some of the first Christians went through. The story is really good, but sad. No happy ending in this book.

One of the best books I’ve ever read!

This book....wow! I instantly connected with the characters and the story. The narrator does an outstanding job. There’s so much depth and anguish, heartbreak, romance, gut wrenching feeling in this book. There were times I sad, angry, happy, all the ups and downs of a good book that flows nicely. It’s definitely worth the credit.

Great end to the series!

It took me a minute to get into this book because the first few chapters are mostly Abrianna’s struggle of figuring out she loves Wade. But quickly enough I was again pulled into this book more than I was with the other two. I enjoyed the whole series and since all 3 were really about Abrianna, with supporting characters falling in love, I was glad to have her story come to fruition. I was also glad that it didn’t end abruptly as soon as the conflict was resolved like many stories do. Loved all the eccentric characters in these books!

The narrator is great in this story and so well on all of the voices. There’s a lot of humor in this book, and the book is clean. The only thing I wish for is that things would’ve been a little more wrapped up in the ending or that there would’ve been an epilogue. Maybe some will carry over into the next story but it doesn’t look like it from the description. But the story and characters are definitely entertaining.

Wow this was great!

Laura Frantz is wonderful at weaving a story that totally keeps you engrossed, and this one does not disappoint. The characters are well developed and interesting and the story has a great plot and some twists and enough romance to keep the listener engaged. It’s clean and faith based. The narrator does a great job too with enough distinction between the voices so that the listener knows which character it’s coming from. Worth a credit for sure!
