Horrible narrator
Revisado: 07-16-24
It could have been a fascinating story but the narrator ruined it. I quit after four chapters. what a waste if money.

Historia
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

More like a series of sermons

Good insight into how CEO leadership succeeds and fails but way too much editorializing. Disappointed in the lack of meat as opposed to opinion.

Historia
In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.

Keeps you in the edge of your seat

Listened to a good chunk of the book while hiking and the mikes went quickly. Great story, good and thorough investigative reporting and a first rate performance by the reader. Fascinating portrayal of the web, insight into the protagonist and reminder that despite its preference for the safety of non risk, the people in government agencies can overcome the inertia.

Historia
By identifying the structure of DNA, the molecule of life, Francis Crick and James Watson revolutionized biochemistry and won themselves a Nobel Prize. At the time, Watson was only 24, a young scientist hungry to make his mark. His uncompromisingly honest account of the heady days of their thrilling sprint against other world-class researchers to solve one of science's greatest mysteries gives a dazzlingly clear picture of a world of brilliant scientists with great gifts, very human ambitions, and bitter rivalries.

Highly disappointing
Revisado: 07-16-18
I do t think the author could decide if he was explaining a competition between who would win th Nobel or if he wanted to explain university life in the ten years in England after the war.
