Historia
After witnessing the murder-suicide of his parents as a child, Noah Wolf suffers from a form of PTSD that has left him without emotion, without a conscience, and without the ability to function as a normal human being. With the help of childhood friends, he learns to watch others around him and mimic their behaviors, in order to conceal the fact that his mind operates more like a computer that he has spent years programming. That program is what allows Noah to pass himself off as normal.

I suppose I was expecting an enigma , a man of few words and all that, but there was so much talking about feelings and the main character explains and explains and talks SO much. The dialogue was just a little too cheesy.

Any additional comments?
I found the narrator incredibly distracting, mostly because all of the characters were caricatures. The women sounded like men in drag, the tough guys sounded like Popeye, the Marine sounded like Scooby Dum, etc...

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Entertaining and so different
Revisado: 07-27-12
I really enjoyed the fact that this story was so different from others, yet told so well. The characters were likable and the plot unexpected. It was a bit of a detective novel crossed with scifi. Well worth the credits!

The hero is wonderful, admirable. The heroine is a twit! Why would he want anything to do with her? So she's pretty, big deal, she's an idiot. I'd like to choke her! This story is absolutely implausible, considering what a foolish, nitwit the main character is. She does nothing to deserve him - she's not mature or smart nor does she seem to have any sex appeal. Sheesh, why would he want her? Ugh, I wish I'd saved my credit!

Ugh!
Revisado: 04-09-11
Such a disappointment! Where to even begin? Everything was flat! The characters were one dimensional and the narrator made them all sound imbecilic. But really, my biggest pet peeves were with the heavy-handed christian moralizing and the painting of the military as being a bunch of thugs. Finally, the ending was so ridiculously written as to demand a sequel, but frankly, who cares what happens to the characters? I can hardly believe I made myself finish listening until I go to the end of this tripe!

Historia
In the days when Scotland lay under siege - from the Vikings who sailed from the north and the Norman English who came from the south - King David sought to unite his people into one nation. For this, he needed loyal warriors. Waryk de Graham soon proved the greatest of these fighters, and was knighted Lord Lion. But his honored position came with a price: a wife chosen for him by the king - a reluctant Viking bride.

What tripe!
Revisado: 01-12-09
This book was horrid! A very tedious history lesson about the invasions and settlement of Scottland.
I couldn't stand the heroine; she was a self-centered idiot! The charecters yacked and yacked about the history of the Vikings and the Scots, but sheesh! - where was the action and the drama? These charecters didn't even act attracted toward each other until the second half of the book. Why would they even fall in love? Aside from her fabulous looks, the heroine is absoutley not likable. Ugh!!!
Don't wast you money on this atrocity!
