Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Second book please!
Revisado: 12-07-22
I am so sad that I’ve finished this book. I think it’s my favorite King book yet. I hope there’s a second in the works.

Historia
Texas, 1921. A time of abundance. The Great War is over, the bounty of the land is plentiful, and America is on the brink of a new and optimistic era. But for Elsa Wolcott, deemed too old to marry in a time when marriage is a woman’s only option, the future seems bleak. Until the night she meets Rafe Martinelli. By 1934, the world has changed; millions are out of work and drought has devastated the Great Plains. Elsa must make an agonizing choice: fight for the land she loves or leave it behind and go west, to California, in search of a better life for her family.

Incredibly moving
Revisado: 02-20-21
This book is so deeply moving. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning and powered through it so quickly that I am slightly annoyed with myself for not savoring it longer!
If you enjoy stories with strong female leads, this is a must read. Elsa will stay with me forever.

Historia
Roman Jackson continues his three-part series with this second installment. The trials continue as Mark tears his way through the Gulag. With Hanna by side Mark is a power to be reckoned with, however strength of body does not translate to strength of mind. Blood soaked and tired, Mark collects as many enemies as friends. So close to figuring out just who, and what he is, Mark must survive a psychotic brother, a fanatic gang, rabid creatures, and killer robots with him as their target...just another episode in the Amnesiac.

An action packed installment to the series
Revisado: 01-01-21
After reading the first book in the series I was anxious for this release, and I was not disappointed. The story is packed with sci-fi and action, as well as a good dose of dark humor. While we learn a lot more about the characters, there is still so much to be revealed. I look forward to the next installment.
