Been there, heard that
Revisado: 01-30-20
DeMille has written this book too many times. He needs a reboot! If you are a fan of this type of novel, where the main character reacts and thinks and talks the same way, novel after novel, then you will enjoy the book. If you are looking for character growth or plot twists, women with real personalities, then try elsewhere.
I'm done with DeMille. Felt that way after the last DeMille I listened too then got sucked in again. My bad.

Big Disappointment
Revisado: 07-08-17
trite, trite, trite. cliche ridden. female characters serve as foils for the men. Jack, Jr. proceeds at breakneck speed with hardly a thought for the consequences. most of the plot revolves around jr getting shot, bashed, and hit in the head - several times - always with no memory loss or concussion. I'd say based on this story jr will have irreversible brain damage by the next story. save your money. this book is an insult to a tom Clancy fan.

A Waste of Time
Revisado: 04-17-11
I can't believe I listened to this whole book of drivel! The devil is alive and well in LA and Baja controlling DEA agents and sherrif's deputies. Rabies running wild infecting two of the main characters. Listening to a rabies infected, devil inspired, madman and his love letters to his wife. I swear the author forgot his genere and was trying out his chops in the tragic, doomed romance area.

Not Hot Orchid
Revisado: 10-24-09
A disappoint overall. Some moments of entertainment but too many plot inconsistencies to let me accept novel without disbelieve and out right displeasure. Prime example of author's disrespect to the reader's intelligence. The cops get a warrant to sieze the police chief's car to examine the tread on the right front tire. The judge is in court all day so they can't get the warrant until 4 pm (atificial suspense). Do they post a watch on the car? You guessed it, NO! So when they return with the warrant, (You guessed it again) the chief drove the car to the tire store and bought a new tire. Anyone with an ounce of brains knows that once a decision has been made to seize property, the police keep that property under watch until they can actually serve the warrant.
Too much of this kind of stuff.
I finished the novel just to say I finished it. Save your credits!

Why did I listen to this whole novel? I kept thinking each new twist would lead to more explanation. Instead the novel just kept getting more bizarre and confusing. One think about the book I have to mention.... it sure made me think! Think about what a waste of time.... What did it mean? Who CARES! Save your money and even more important your time!

Her best story to date. Plot was believable and entertaining. I enjoyed the character's inner thoughts and actions and how Milhorn must solve the mystery without knowledge of that information we have as listeners. I can't wait for the next T is for ???
