Historia
In the latter part of the nineteenth century the west was changing rapidly. East Texas In particular, was becoming intolerant of lawlessness. One farmer said: "If you spit on a sidewalk, you better get a bucket of wash-water and get busy, or go to jail." That summed it up very well. Industry was becoming more widespread in major cities such as Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and Jefferson, "The city at the end of the river." By the late 1860s and 1870s, Jefferson was second only to Galveston in commerce.

Decent Western…..
Revisado: 04-14-14
Would you listen to The Nacogdoches Trail again? Why?
No, it's pretty short quick & predictable. I liked listening to the Western Genre, this was my first one. However, this story was very predictable, not many plot twists. When I thought the book was over, it went on for another hour--that was the biggest plot twist! Yes, it was enjoyable. Yes, I'm glad I got it, but I was hoping for something a little more suspenseful. This honest review was written in response to a free copy of the audible book.
What about Robert Neil DeVoe’s performance did you like?
He used his voice to really create the feel of the West & the Texan accents!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, pretty much. Quick and easy….. I nice book for a drive on the interstate.

Not my favorite genre….
Revisado: 04-08-14
What did you love best about The Eli Event?
Fast paced & humorous at times
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Not so technical in computer systems.
What about Curtis R. Sisco’s performance did you like?
Clearly intelligible and not distracting. Would enjoy hearing him read again.
Any additional comments?
I am not a Sci-Fi fan, but wanted to try to something new. This book was adequate, but not ideally what I enjoy. Maybe I'm just not a SciFi fan, but I probably wouldn't buy another book.
