Wonderful

What a great audiobook.

Michaels voice is perfect - so much wisdom in so few words.

I went to purchase the book as soon as it appeared in the shops, but leafing through the pages the words did not have quite the same impact without the magic of the voice behind it. I put it down after a few minutes as I didn't want to destroy the mood the audiobook left me with.

(I'll purchase the paperbook and probably read it sometime later..... for the moment, I'll just wallow in the emotion of a truly a beautiful book)

Positive thinking on steroids

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-05-07

If your having trouble thinking positive this book is for you.

No hard sell, no hype, just good hard common sense.

Most other positive thinking books tell you that if you feel negative about life, then you should say affirmations such as "I feel Great" a hundred times a day, and if you keep doing this for a month or so you will start to feel better all the time. I have tried this for the last 20 years or so. Most times when I say "I feel good" my subconsious mind turns around and tells me to stop talking rubbish. (ie My mind tells me I'm fealing happy but my emotions tell me I'm still feeling bad - which makes me feel worse than before I started to tell myself to feel good)

Without giving the plot away Noah St.John tells you that sometimes it is more important to ask the right question, rather than just chant some mindless affirmation you don't really believe in in the first place.

Worth every penny

Afformations gone wrong

Total
1 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-05-07

After just purchasing "The Great Little Book of Afformations" (which was absoulatly brilliant) from Audible, I decided to buy this one also.

What a waste of time and money. Its a seminar for Mary Kay reps who are frustrated on not getting eough points to qualify for a Pink Cadilac.

The first hour is nothing more than Noah laughing and joking and asking members of the audience what they think is holding them back from achieving their goals.

The other 20 minutes or so he spoke about what they should do to improve themselves without actually telling them how to do it.

If Audible had a money back guarantee I'd be at the front of the queue.
