Historia
Noah Harris and Ashley Flynn are field agents for a powerful organization tasked with protecting humanity from the misuse of game-changing technology. But when they discover hidden portals that link Earth to numerous planets, they are thrust into a maze of deception and intrigue they can't begin to understand....one that not only has them battling for their very lives, but that will decide the fate of worlds. Because, inexplicably, each of the planets contain human civilizations, and the rulers of our nearest portal neighbor have come up with a brilliant, twisted plan to conquer ours.

Phenomenal read.
Revisado: 04-10-23
This book, and it’s author, are proof of advanced life on other planets. The scientific concepts in Portals are so creative and new that there could be no other explanation. Meanwhile, the characters are witty, bold but still flawed in real world ways. And if you can predict the plot twists, you’re better than me. Bottom line-Douglas E. Richards took his planet’s best ideas and brought them to earth in this book.

Historia
Omar Haddad is a brutal jihadist in Syria who appears to be invulnerable and capable of supernatural feats. But is Haddad divine, as he claims? Is he a gifted magician? Or is he making use of a stunning scientific breakthrough? And what, exactly, is keeping him from unleashing the global apocalypse he’s so eager to bring about? Brennan Craft, a quirky quantum physics genius, has the answers, and the US military is desperate to capture him.

Written 50 years ahead of it’s time.
Revisado: 01-26-23
This book is proof of time travel even though it’s not about time travel. Unlike most sci-fi tech books that seem dated before they even come out, this book is decades ahead of its time in terms of mainstream science literature. Plus there are no clunky pop culture or other references that date a book before you read it.
The main characters are compelling, the science is phenomenal, and you’re grabbed in the first few pages. And if you’re like me, you will struggle not to finish it in a few settings.
Amazing read!

Historia
The height of Mount Everest was first measured in 1850, but the closest any Westerner got to Everest during the next 71 years, until 1921, was 40 miles. The Hunt for Mount Everest tells the story of the 71-year quest to find the world's highest mountain. It's a tale of high drama, of larger-than-life characters - George Everest, Francis Younghusband, George Mallory, Lord Curzon, Edward Whymper - and a few quiet heroes: Alexander Kellas, the 13th Dalai Lama, Charles Bell.

Captivating and mind blowing read!

Don’t let the length of the book fool you. Each chapter is a quick, insightful and page turning expedition of its own.
I’m not a climber nor was I ever a Mallory fanboy one way or another. But I am now.
Great book!
