Historia
On February 17, 2022, Brittney Griner arrived in Moscow ready to spend the WNBA offseason playing for the Russian women’s basketball team where she had been the centerpiece of previous championship seasons. Instead, a security checkpoint became her gateway to hell when she was arrested for mistakenly carrying under one gram of medically prescribed hash oil. Brittney’s world was violently upended in a crisis she has never spoken in detail about publicly—until now.

A must read
Revisado: 07-02-24
Captivating for sure, but bringing her personal story and reflections filled my heart for days. We get so caught up in news stories and politics, it really was humbling, heartbreaking, and empowering to listen to BG’s personal account. Can’t recommend enough!

Outstanding!
Revisado: 05-08-24
The story’s twists and turns never end as the tales develop continually. At times you root for characters and other times you hate them. You kind of always root for everyone though, beautiful. Loved this book.

Terrible narrator, good book
Revisado: 11-18-23
It’s so hard to get past the awkward and ill fitting narration of this book. Wish I had read it instead. Please don’t use this same narrator for the 2nd book!

Worth it
Revisado: 03-06-19
I found this book to be more inspiring than instructional. Many examples don’t immediately relate to all work lives. That said the message is invigorating and will absolutely get your creative juices inspired to find a way to flow. Also, very well performed and thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining to listen to. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times while listening but better yet her ideas stuck with me and happily bounced around my brain long after the book was done- so worth your time!
