Laughing so hard I’m crying

Ever had an audiobook that, as soon as it’s finished, you want to start over again because you’re just not ready to leave that world? Of the hundreds of books I’ve “read” on this app, I’ve had 3, and this is one of them.
I knew Patrick from TCO (2017 era fan and saw them on Broadway) but the heart, vulnerability, joy and flat out humor that he brought to this book took my breath away. BRAVA!!

The third person narration isn’t a quirk for the intro - it’s the whole dang book. Not so much a story about Zodiac, but a story about the author figuring out that one dude into a particular kind of magazine is likely him. So bored.

I am generally not a sci-fi person, but loved the Martian (Matt Damon fan) so gave this one a chance. So very glad I did. The characters in this book are so well drawn, I feel like I know and love them all. Cannot recommend this book highly enough. Truly one of the best books I’ve “read” in years.

Listening to this, I laughed so loud I got funny looks on the train. And I cried in public. And I wanted to pause it, write down a quote, and tattoo it on myself more times than I can count. Lindy is funny, charming, and oh so real. Do yourself a favor, ladies, and listen.
