Historia
When you owe money to a powerful mafia kingpin, you find a way to pay it back or you get hurt, and the only thing 26-year-old Jimmy Poe has to offer a man like Boss Cold is himself. Cold agrees to give Jimmy a chance to have his debt cancelled, but it will mean surrendering his body to Cold's rough, ruthless demands every night until the very last penny has been repaid. Over the coming days, Jimmy learns what it means to be truly mastered, and Cold's stern dominance arouses him far more intensely than he would have thought possible.

Phenomenal!
Revisado: 06-10-22
Absolutely amazing!! I loved this series when I first read it years ago and have always wanted an audiobook for it. Scott Carousel doesn’t disappoint!! I can’t believe this is their first narration because they completely blew me away! Jimmy sounds just like I imagined and Cold is incredibly suave, seductive, and sexy. If you’re looking for a sexy, action-packed mafia story with some kink thrown in then definitely check this out!

Historia
Rupert is a quiet, thoughtful business man and, sadly, a total wimp. As his life has reminded him on an almost daily basis since, this isn’t the most brilliant idea he’s ever had. And that was before Callum showed up. Callum figures he can push through the rest of the summer, never expecting two kids, a host of friends, and his growing feelings for Rupert to derail everything he has ever believed about what he wanted, and what he could have.

Nearly perfect!
Revisado: 04-11-21
I really enjoyed this. The concept of found family is always a favorite of mine. This was a fun and sweet enemies-to-lovers story and I loved seeing Rupert and Callum come together. I also liked the children and their roles in this story.
This book was longer than I expected but I didn’t want it to end! I really wish there was an epilogue, if only to give me more Rupert/Callum time.
Fyi, this isn’t technically part of a series but it has characters from the author’s other books which makes for a slightly frustrating read at times. I feel like I was missing important insight into the side characters since I haven’t read the author’s other works. I got the gist of their characters but they weren’t as fleshed out as the MCs, as if the reader should already know their backstory and basic info.
I love love LOVE this narrator!! He does such an amazing job of bringing these characters to life and reads it with so much emotion. 5 Star narration for sure!!
The MCs, kids, and romance make this book an easy 5 Star read! I’d love to see how this little family is doing in the future.

Historia
A psychic without an anchor. A student in trouble. A shooter on the loose. I’m Jonathan Bane, a licensed psychic who consults for the police. I routinely help the police put the bad guys away and, for that reason, the criminal world doesn’t like me much. My psychic ability prevents me from handling anything electronic - and I do mean anything, I fry it in seconds - so calling for help isn’t always a possibility. I need an anchor, a partner, but I’m resigned: It’s just wishful thinking. At least, I thought so until he walked through the door.

A Great Continuation of the Series
Revisado: 01-02-19
This was a great continuation of the Gravidam series. I really enjoyed the world that Brightly created in book 1 so it was nice to get back to it in Incubus Lost. A unique mpreg can be hard to find when the genre is full of similar plots, but Brightly brings a different spin to the genre.
I enjoyed Ethan Holdan's narration and look forward to hearing more from him.
Fans of mpreg and fantasy will enjoy this series and its lovable characters.

You have no idea how excited I was to learn that this series was being put into audio! My expectations were pretty high since this is one of my favorite series, and I'm happy to say that Matt Haynes did not leave me disappointed. Matt does an absolutely phenomenal job narrating this book. His accents and tonal choices really make this story come alive, without being too dramatic or over-the-top. If you haven't read this book/series (or even if you have) then take this opportunity to enjoy the audio. I can't wait to hear how Matt does the rest of this series!

Any additional comments?
Cronin's Key II picks up right where book 1 left off and is just as exciting and engaging as before. Alec and Cronin continue to grow closer and they make such a great couple! Their scenes together are cute and tender, and their banter (especially Alec's) made me laugh!
Leslie continues to impress me with his ability to use different accents and tones of voice. He is a truly talented actor and I can't praise him enough!! The emotions that he portrays in these characters is just wonderful and really add to the overall experience of listening to this story.
There is a particular part at the end where Cronin growls/yells, "The life of my Ailig is not a game!", and let me tell you...I got chills...well done Leslie! Perfection!

Historia
NYPD Detective Alec MacAidan has always been good with weird. After all, his life has been a string of the unexplainable. But when an injured man gives him cryptic clues, then turns to dust in front of him, Alec's view on weird is changed forever. Cronin, a vampire Elder, has spent the last 1,000 years waiting for Alec. He'd been told his fated one would be a man wielding a shield, but he didn't expect him to be human, and he certainly didn't expect that shield to be a police badge.

Cronin's Key is one of my favorite books and I was so happy to see it was being made into audio. Joel Leslie is a phenomenal voice actor who truly brings these characters to life. His use of various accents and the quality of his performance make an already great story that much more fantastic. I highly recommend Cronin's Key both in print and audio, and if you haven't checked out any other of Joel Leslie's narrations then you're seriously missing out!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the rest of this series gets recorded as well!

Any additional comments?
I loved this story when I first read it and now that it's in audio it's even better! Joel Leslie does a wonderful job at narrating and gives each character their own voice. I'll be honest and say that the accents caught me a bit off guard at first. Even though from reading the book I knew the MCs had Boston and Irish accents, I never actually heard the accents in my head while I read. So while Leslie's accents took me a minute to get used to, I grew to love them and they truly give the characters more life.
The story itself is easily a 4-4.5 Star read for me with its unique plot, engaging characters, magic, mystery, and swoon-worthy romance. There's humor and heartache, and at the center of it all, a passion and relationship that I can't wait to watch bloom as the series continues.
S.J. Himes is definitely an author to look out for, and there hasn't been a single book of hers that I haven't enjoyed (Including the books written under her pen-name Revella Hawthorne)! Do yourself a favor and check out The Necromancer's Dance ASAP!

A fun and light read
Revisado: 04-26-16
Any additional comments?
This is my first book by Ethan Day and was pretty entertaining!
I really liked the setting of Piper's Point and I kind of wish I could live there over the summer too! I enjoyed seeing the Point through Cassidy's eyes and getting flashbacks every once in a while to his summers growing up there.
Cassidy was a very likable character. His internal thoughts had me cracking up and I loved listening to him interact with the other characters. I really liked Nate, and his and Cassidy's sexual tension had me screaming for them to "get on with it already!" I loved Cassidy's friends and Ollie especially had me laughing.
One complaint I do have is that there were just too many relationships in this book for me. Too many of Cassidy's ex's and the drama with all these men bordered on the silly. While this book was fun, there was just a touch too much humor in my opinion. These characters sometimes came across as cartoonish and just ridiculous, and while I did really enjoy the story for the most part, sometimes the amount of comedy just became too much.
I will say, though, that Michael Lesley does a phenomenal job narrating this book. Each character has their own voice, tone, and personality. Every emotion can be heard through this narration. Lesley doesn't just read books, he performs them. Seriously a Grade-A voice actor...
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
