Historia
Sam Bankman-Fried wasn't just rich. Before he turned thirty he'd become the world's youngest billionaire, making a record fortune in the crypto frenzy. CEOs, celebrities and world leaders vied for his time. At one point he considered paying off the entire national debt of the Bahamas so he could take his business there. Then it all fell apart.

Lewis's best inside view since Liars Poker
Revisado: 10-13-23
While Lewis's seemingly at times naive appreciation for SBF can be head scratching, but the story told has the feeling of a fly on the wall of a real life white collar network television show, except the characters involved are way less sexy and introverted, and the finally is financial collapse.

Historia
Richard H. Thaler has spent his career studying the radical notion that the central agents in the economy are humans - predictable, error-prone individuals. Misbehaving is his arresting, frequently hilarious account of the struggle to bring an academic discipline back down to earth - and change the way we think about economics, ourselves, and our world.

A well penned history of Behavioural Economics.
Revisado: 09-25-23
While a much more casual, and broader book than Nudge I found it actually more insightful than the later. Thaler is unique among Nobel Prize winning economists for having a better sense of humor and narrative. It may not provide a highly detailed understanding of any particular innovation in behavioural science but it's a good starting point for much of the topics in the field. It's also a great companion book to "The Undoing Project" by Michael Lewis where Thaler makes an appearance.

Historia
Having made the U.S. financial crisis comprehensible for us all in The Big Short, Michael Lewis realised that he hadn't begun to get grips with the full story. How exactly had it come to hit the rest of the world in the face too? Just how broke are we really? Boomerang is a tragi-comic romp across Europe, in which Lewis gives full vent to his storytelling genius.

Great even if some of the metaphors were a stretch
Revisado: 09-25-23
The book has 5 parts Iceland, Greece, Ireland, Germany and California, Lewis does a great job at explaining the differences in each financial crisis while providing humerus and insightful narratives to understand each. While the first three narratives are fantastic the latter two are a bit less interesting by comparison, but still good. An underrated gem in the Author's catalogue.
