Historia
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

I thought it was an interesting story.. although gruesome. It shows the inner thinking of Danny or does it? By the end I was thinking he was just born "bad". I think we all knew/know at least one "bad" person & often wonder why. I still haven't an answer.
I liked the narrator..

SK usual characters
Revisado: 08-15-22
Not much changes in SK stories but characters' names. Haven't read him in a very long time but some reviews said this one was good. I found the characters old & worn & got very bored with the story. The "performance" was very good considering. Oh..& the constant mentioning of Trump will make this my last SK. I want to enjoy a book, not hear the author's political views.
I think SK jumped the shark a while ago..this book proves it.

Was looking forward to this story & while it wasn't bad..it wasn't what I was expecting. The Gabs from SP was confident, cool & knew what she was doing. This one questioned herself too much. The characters were entertaining. The storyline was okay. Perhaps her next storyline will be better.

Interesting
Revisado: 07-21-21
I like the series very much but as series books go, they need to end sometime. I thought Scott getting married was a mistake & now I wonder why he got engaged so quickly. My big problem was the explanation of how Reed Carlton got his call name...way too long...yawn.
I guess Scott is getting old so his jobs are not as exciting.
Brad, Your books, up until the last two, were very exciting & I always pre-ordered in anticipation... It may be time to look for another American Hero.

This audio book is pretty good. The story flows pretty well too. The narrator is very good.
My only criticism is..please lose the music. It adds absolutely nothing to the story & is actually annoying.
