I almost cried tears at several points while listening to this book. If you suffer from excessive anxiety, this book will change your life. It is extremely well written, succinct but informative, sympathetic but never condescending, gentle but firm. This book explains how anxiety is generated in our brain, how the two mechanisms of anxiety generating differ, and provides clear and easy to follow strategies to reduce the amount of anxiety both in the moment and in the long term and change how we deal with anxiety once it has been generated. It is such a validating and encouraging book. It’s worth reading a few times. I can’t recommend this book enough.
