Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Too much sex
Revisado: 06-07-24
The book overall was good, not great. I was annoyed with the storyline a bit, and it was predictable. The only mystery was Rachel, which I wasn't too surprised at the outcome. There was way too much sex for my liking.

Historia
Hattie Owen prefers to be steeped in the familiarity of her small-town life than to think about the vast world beyond her own. Her family's boarding house is where she feels most at home, with its eccentric tenants and predictable routines, so different from the controlling and repressive home of her well-to-do grandparents who live nearby.

suicide in a 4th grade book
Revisado: 09-27-23
One of my 6th grade students asked me if I had read this book, and I had not. I decided to listen to it, since she had. I found it a little disturbing that one of the main characters commits suicide, and I feel like the author almost justifies that its ok. I won't recommend this to my 11- 12 year students.

suspenseful
Revisado: 05-07-23
There are some difficult parts to this novel, but Colleen Hoover writes so well that you have no choice but to listen intently. The storyline is a little far-fetched, but again, it is so intriguing that you won't be able to stop listening. There is a huge twist, which caught me completely off-guard! Great book.

Historia
When Dahlia decided to become a foster mother, she had a few caveats: no howling newborns, no delinquents, and above all, no girls. A harrowing incident years before left her a virtual prisoner in her own home, forever wary of the heartbreak and limitation of a girl’s life. Eleven years after they began fostering, Dahlia and Louie consider their family complete, but when the social worker begs them to take a young girl who has been horrifically abused and neglected, they can’t say no.

Frustrating
Revisado: 05-02-22
This book came up as a recommendation due to other books I've listened to. I finished the book, but reluctantly. It was hard to get through. The story line was hard to follow and almost annoying at times. If it can go wrong, it did.

Historia
Lina Meisel, a retired librarian in Florida, is reading the newspaper one morning when she freezes. Her eyes lock on a photograph of a book she hasn’t seen in 65 years - a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The accompanying article discusses the looting of libraries by the Nazis across Europe during World War II - an experience Lina remembers well - and the search to reunite people with the texts stolen from them so long ago. The book in the photograph is one of the most fascinating cases.

Revisado: 08-16-21
This book had parts when I was really annoyed with a few characters. however, the author does a seemless job of bringing it all together and answering some questions that were causing my frustration towards the characters. Fantastic read! You may need a tissue or two.

The overall story was pretty good and the performance was good. The writing was also just good. The book had very simple writing without a lot of reading complexity. I guess some people may really enjoy this, but it was just ok for me.

Ending was the best.
Revisado: 02-16-21
I struggled with the main character and his cruelty and unwillingness to accept love and guidance. Towards the end he was tolerable. The story takes a long time to get to where I felt like I could say I loved it, but it did get there.
