David Baldacci makes the reader feel the horror of war. I felt a part of the amazing story he created.

Another winner. Wow not what you'd expect from David Baldacci but he definitely knocked this one out of the park. Well done.

This book reaffirmed my good judgment in becoming a Tom Selleck fan in 1980. Must read.

The only thing I didn't care for was the narrator's male voices. It came out harsh, in my opinion, when she was trying to sound masculine.

As usual we'll written but this time with a different perspective on our nation and culture. David Baldacci did a wonderful job capturing the unrest, unjust and at times uncompromising history of the 1960's. He illustrates how far we've come yet how far we have to go. Enjoyed every paragraph.

A feel good story that has highlights of good and not so good. The characters are endearing and the author makes it a quick and easy task to like or dislike them. I recommend this read for something light and a bit predictable but enjoyable.

Was looking forward to book 2 since I really enjoyed book 1. Bronson Pinchot is excellent as usual. I do like the story line but this book got a bit long with the killing. To save some of you the trouble of listening to book 2, everyone but Sam and Lindsey get killed. One Native American is this difficult to capture or kill? I was ready for the end of this book long before it came. I will listen to book 3 but I'm not in a big hurry to do so.

Wasn't familiar with the author but thought I'd take a chance. So glad I did. I felt like I was watching this story unfold instead of listening to it unfold. The narration was excellent. Cassandra Campbell brought each character to life and made the emotion of the story tangible. Amy Harmon weaved a beautiful, terrifying, absorbing world that had me feeling the full realm of emotions. One of the best historical fiction pieces I've read.

I think I would have enjoyed this collection more if the narrator had been more suited for the task. Nice voice but narration level.

Enjoyed the story and characters but struggled with the narration. I started this book series with the intention of listening to the entire series but have changed my mind. Mispronounced words, monotone reading and a feeling the narrator was struggling to read the story made it difficult to listen to. Since the remaining books are narrated by the same person I will read them instead of listening to them.

I enjoyed all 3 books. The characters seemed very real and personable. The author did a wonderful job making all 3 books seem very real with a story line so believable. The male narrator was pleasant to listen to but I struggled with the female. Her accent was terrible and sounded very fake. These books deserved much better. I hope there is a book 4 but with better female narration.
