Historia
When the enslaved Jim overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, separated from his wife and daughter forever, he decides to hide on nearby Jackson Island until he can formulate a plan. Meanwhile, Huck Finn has faked his own death to escape his violent father, recently returned to town. As all readers of American literature know, thus begins the dangerous and transcendent journey by raft down the Mississippi River toward the elusive and too-often-unreliable promise of the Free States and beyond.

The book has a slow start, but picks up and has no problem drawing the reader in and holding interest. The scale of racial inequality was highlighted throughout the book until it became tiresome, and then actually seen. It was like okay, we know about this, so what are you trying to say. It wasn’t that, it was more like we are so use to seeing it that we don’t really see it, and its many offshoots

Historia
Mason Bee Revolution explains how docile, hard-working, solitary mason bees (and their compatriots, the leafcutter bees) are even more productive pollinators than honeybees, and keeping them can be a fun, easy, backyard hobby for gardeners, conservationists, foodies, and families everywhere. While scientists search for answers to save the honeybee, Dave Hunter and his company, Crown Bees, are leading the effort to increase the population of other highly efficient pollinators.

This was a long boring story. The title was poorly chosen, and the story of Holmes was spat upon. It was poorly written and not well delivered.

Historia
In the year 2107, the world has both made astounding leaps forward and reduced humanity to its most basic existence. While the megacorps and those who rule them enjoy lives of extraordinary comfort and ease, most people barely scrape by, doing whatever they can to keep going. Juliet Bianchi is one of the latter. She works cutting metal in a scrapyard and doesn't have much to show for it except for a small group of equally bereft, fiercely loyal friends. Still, she maintains a bright disposition, possessing more hope and optimism than anyone would expect her to—and she's going to need it.

Cliff Hanger Cheap Little Money Grab
Revisado: 12-10-23
This could have been entertaining story, but it was made to be a cheap little money monger’s paradise in the end. This is part 1 and there will be a part 2, for no other reason than the publisher wants more of your money for what is guaranteed to be half hashed.

Historia
Anyone who's watch the front entrance of a hive or watched honey bee gathering nectar and pollen from flowers on a tree or a field of flowers has wondered about the life of a bee. That ultimately leads to the wonderment of just what does a bee perceive of its environment and how does a bee use that information. In today's episode, we talk with Dr. Stephen Buchmann, who has studied and research bees and written a book, "What A Bee Knows: Exploring the Thoughts, Memories and personalities of Bees". Honey bees are so small. They are insects. Do they even really have a brain - as we know it? If so...

Historia
The year is 2375, and the world has been drained of most of its natural resources. In order to preserve their dying planet, the government puts The Digital Life Initiative into action. Those deemed of low economic value are placed into a state of cryogenic sleep, their minds connected to a myriad of virtual worlds. They become digital citizens, living out their lives in virtual cities. Kadia Greene wasn’t someone who had any interest in the virtual worlds, unlike her brother who spent his days wasting away in a VR capsule.

Worth your time
Revisado: 04-16-23
Okay, I know this is a rather small book with few reviews but, this book is definitely worth the 16 hours of your life it demands. The main character is actually fun, with interesting supporting characters and best of all. The book doesn’t take itself too seriously leaving room for actual humor. There’s a part where some of the characters fall into a pit trap, and instead of everyone going all “woe is me, this is the end of the world” they mostly start joking with each other (the pit trap is full of flammable goo btw) it’s definitely worth the credit.

Historia
Today, we talk with Julia Mahood, a Master Beekeeper in Georgia. Julia is fascinated with drone honey bees and especially Drone Congregation Areas. To find out more about DCA’s, she is on a quest to find as many as she can across her Georgia community. She started by reading all she could find, then went looking using an artificial queen lure on the end of a very tall stick. That didn’t work. She switched to weather balloons and that much better, so eventually she started using mechanical drones, with cameras and lots of range. Some of what she’s found so far hasn’t been reported ...

Historia
It seems that pollen flows just don’t get the respect that a good honey flow does, do they? And you’ve got to wonder why? In today’s episode, Kim and Jim take a kind of long look at pollen flows, trying to figure out how to tell there’s a pollen flow going on in the first place. It’s easy to see when a honey flow is going strong, but is a pollen flow? Bees don’t store much pollen compared to honey, and the way it’s stored it’s kind of hard to tell if it’s pollen, or bee bread, or honey. Find out what you should know about pollen flows and your bees. Without the pollen flows ...

Historia
Most of us are aware of the hive mind—the power of bees as an amazing collective. But do we know how uniquely intelligent bees are as individuals? In The Mind of a Bee, Lars Chittka draws from decades of research, including his own pioneering work, to argue that bees have remarkable cognitive abilities. He shows that they are profoundly smart, have distinct personalities, can recognize flowers and human faces, exhibit basic emotions, count, use simple tools, solve problems, and learn by observing others. They may even possess consciousness.
