Historia
From age 11, in 1974, until she left the show, in 1981, Melissa Anderson literally grew up before the viewers of Little House on the Prairie. Melissa, as Mary, is remembered by many as the blind sister - and she was the only actor in the series to be nominated for an Emmy. In The Way I See It, she takes listeners onto the set and inside the world of the iconic series created by Michael Landon, who, Melissa discovered, was not perfect, as much as he tried to be. In this memoir she also shares her memories of working with guest stars like Todd Bridges, Mariette Hartley, Sean Penn, Patricia Neal, and Johnny Cash.

Not worth the time!
Revisado: 09-24-23
Don't waste your time listening to this book you can just watch LHOTP episodes that Melissa Sue Anderson is featured in and there you have most of the book. as for the rest of the book, it's just criticizing the rest of the actors and the way episodes were directed. if you really want to be entertained listen to the other memoirs by the cast members of LHOTP they are all much more interesting than this book. I especially enjoyed Alison Arngrim's book.
The only thing I got from this book is that all the thing's said about Anderson seem to hold true.

Historia
Twenty years ago, Abigail Sorenson’s brother Robert went missing one day before her 16th birthday, never to be seen again. That same year, she began receiving scattered chapters in the mail of a self-help manual, the Guidebook, whose anonymous author promised to make her life soar to heights beyond her wildest dreams. Now, two decades after receiving those first pages, Abi is invited to an all-expenses paid weekend retreat to learn “the truth” about the Guidebook. It’s an opportunity too intriguing to refuse.

Historia
On a dark, wintry day, Eliza Grey receives a mysterious letter from her ailing Nana Mora begging her to come for a visit. This is an easy "Yes". Eliza has always preferred Nana Mora's beach cottage on St. Simons Island to the apartment she and her mom call home in the city. The island is a magical place where stories and legends grow as thick as the Spanish moss dangling in the trees. Now, Nana Mora's eyesight is fading, and there's something she wants to show Eliza before it’s totally gone: a mythical place locals refer to as Sirens Harbor.

Good story... but
Revisado: 10-06-20
this was a good story all was well until the narrator tried that awful Irish accent! would have been better to simply say the man had an Irish accent then to try something she had not at the very least work on!

Thrilling plot!
Revisado: 02-21-20
Great read ! keeps you on the edge waiting for the next twist, found myself gasping out loud making my co-workers look at me a bit strangely, especially when provoked by emotion to speak out loud to the book. McTiernan has a way of making you think you are a part of the story with characters that are so real and complex.

very helpful
Revisado: 03-11-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes, gave me confidants to say no and not feel discoraged if people don't approve. remined me not to be a people pleaser. Be a God pleaser!!
What did you learn from Approval Addiction that you would use in your daily life?
It's ok to say no, and not feel guilty. also not to let your approval addiction rule you making you do things you really don't want to . because you need people to like you. because you will never please everyone all the time...and They will just have to deal with it,it's their problem if they don't like it...not yours.
