Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is that story at last.

I HATE HARRY
Revisado: 03-07-23
When reading this review (I) hope you learn a few things that I did while reading this book.
The media paint a picture of (HATE), disloyalty and inappropriateness on behalf of the Prince, when in reality he tells a beautiful story of his life, love and desire to be closer to his family and country. It is entertaining and well written. It is not an expose. It is witty and insightful. (HARRY) also reads his biography so well. All authors should read their own biographies. The way he adds a chuckle or laugh or emotion to the many anecdotes is something only the author can do.
So if you’re in the media or believe everything the media tells you, you only need to read the letters in brackets. I HATE HARRY. If you’re interested in a great book, read it all. I loved this book and Harry has earned some of my respect and admiration

Honest and entertaining
Revisado: 02-07-23
This was a really good listen. Matthew Perry didn’t hide behind anything or make any excuses, he left it all out there. Interesting to get this kind of insight into such a recognisable character.

Historia
In August of 1914, the British ship Endurance set sail for the South Atlantic. In October 1915, still half a continent away from its intended base, the ship was trapped, then crushed in the ice. For five months, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his men, drifting on ice packs, were castaways in one of the most savage regions of the world. Lansing describes how the men survived a 1,000-mile voyage in an open boat across the stormiest ocean on the globe and an overland trek through forbidding glaciers and mountains.

Revisado: 09-15-21
Firstly, the reading by Simon Prebble is the best I’ve ever experienced. You just cannot believe this story is real. It is better than any fiction I’ve read or listened to. Worth listening to more than once.

Historia
Ever since his astonishing victory in the 1991 PGA Championship, John Daly has enthralled fans with his big drives, bigger personality, and "Grip It and Rip It" approach to golf - and to life. Usually seen with a Marlboro Light dangling from his lip, John is the unchained, unpredictable, unapologetic bad boy of professional golf. My Life in and out of the Rough is a thrillingly - and sometimes shockingly - candid memoir of a larger-than-life athlete battling assorted addictions (alcohol, gambling, chocolate, sex), his weight, and, perhaps worst of all, divorce lawyers.

Something missing
Revisado: 08-12-21
While the look into JD’s life provided amazing insight into an awesome and interesting character, it felt like a lot was left unsaid. Is the book worth a listen, YES! Could it have been better, YES! Would I read the next one, HELL YES! But JD could have said more, admitted more and shared more. I hope the back nine comes out soon.

An excellent story. It lacked conflict, but there was plenty of opportunity for it. He’s left the door open for a sequel, I hope he writes it. Absolutely worth a listen. No frills, just good listening.

Fantastic
Revisado: 02-07-20
Took a while for the narrator to find his stride and really develop into his characters, which made the first book a little frustrating. But once he really got into it, the whole story came together quite wonderfully. Thoroughly enjoy the book, the premise behind the book and all the side stories.

Revisado: 12-05-19
The story wasn’t as compelling and the first 4 in the Roy Grace Series, but it was still brilliant. The characters are fantastic and you get to know all of them more through each book. David Bauckham seems to get flack from some listeners, but his performances are exemplary. Well worth a read, even if it is just to catch up on the lives of Roy, Cleo, Norman and Sandy

Historia
Narrated by Emmy Award–winning actor Martin Sheen, The Home Front: Life in America During World War II takes listeners into the lives of Americans at home—part of the Greatest Generation—who supported the war effort and sustained the country during wartime. The war brought immediate, life-changing shifts: the rationing of meat, dairy products, and sugar; an explosion of war-related jobs; and, despite mixed signals, a greater role for women working outside the home.

Good story, frustrating listen
Revisado: 11-04-19
A wonderful insight into America during World War II, but very frustrating to listen to as every 30 minutes there was a 2 to 3 minute break for copyright, credits, what’s on next. They should’ve kept all of that for the end. Still worth listening to.

Levison has a grasp of language quite like no one else I have ever listened to or read. Dry English wit, a great story and a lovely pace and flow to the whole thing. Wonderfully written and the fact that Levison Wood narrated it himself made it that much better.
