I love how the author intertwines a mystery plot with Mia's love life, her business, and New York City Italian culture. It's a delightful romp of a story that kept me guessing, made me laugh, and made me cry.

When I need a laugh (and who doesn't?), I can always rely on a Maria DiRico book. While listening to this book as I drove down the road, there were literally three LOLs between stop signs. What a joy!
The narrator's performance enhanced the story so much for me, a person who enjoys different accents but is unable to recreate them in my head. It is amazing how she could differentiate the voices of a number of New York City women so clearly.
The story was such an enjoyable romp. I can't wait to listen to more.

Smiley fans - must have!

John LeCarre's 9th Smiley is the perfect bookend to The Spy Who Went Out in the Cold.

Narrated by the venerated British actor, Tom Hollander, it tells the story of long-retired Peter Guillam, who is called in by the all-new Circus to account for events during the Cold War. 

If you're a Smiley fan, I highly recommend.

What a delight!

Ricki James-Diaz is the proprietor of Miss Vee’s Vintage Cookbook and Kitchenware Shop, located in the magnificent Bon Vee Culinary House Museum. New Orleans. Atmosphere. An aristocratic family with troublemaking relatives. A quirky cast of characters. What more can you want?

The story is full of optimism and charm – and the occasional murder – generously seasoned with LOL humor. It’s a tonic for the world-weary. Can’t wait for the next Vintage Cookbook!

Catherine Ryan Howard's best yet!

Just finished listening to 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard. The story hooked me from the beginning and didn't let go. Absorbing. Twisty. Excellent narration. Highly recommend.
