I enjoyed the continuation of the Extinction series taking place in New Zealand. It was consistent with the original series while offering a different perspective and a more human point of view. It would be cool to have continued extinction series taking place in other parts of the world as well. I definitely need to visit New Zealand!

A new perspective on apocalypse fiction

This book is refreshing. The characters are easy to care about as they navigate a world where less than 2% of the population survive. No zombies or mutants - just survival and there is more than enough survival without having to worry about mutants or zombies

Compelling!

I purchased this because it was part of a series sale from Audible. I had no expectations as to whether or not I would like it but I do enjoy sci-fi/post apocalyptic action type books. This book was an unexpected and pleasant surprise! I enjoyed the story and the characters. This series is unique and original from the first page to the last and it only gets better. It has been awhile since I listened to something so good, that I am late to work because I have to finish listening in my car. The intensity of the story and the narration have caused me to literally hold my breath at times while (to my chagrin) also uttering small prayers for fictional characters. It is an insane and wild ride that I would highly recommend!

I waited a very long time only to receive half a book and still paid full price Jim Butler's heart is no longer interested in Harry Dresden and it shows

Gripping psychological thriller

Susan May combines real life possibilities with fiction that leaves you wondering . . . Could it happen? I really enjoyed this book and spent extra time in my car (late for work and late going home) just to finish the next chapter. I am super excited that I stumbled upon this author because I am always looking for new books to binge! I can't wait to start listening to the rest of her books

This was disappointing

I made it to book 8 and the story line and plot were more than a little disappointing - it is more of a rehash of everything with an updated version of the Oni agent -

this was a pleasant surprise as I don't usually like just listening to a play because you don't always understand what is happening in the scene but this was very good and it was free

wish this book was a little longer it's an interesting story line with an interesting idea and would love to have seen more expanded on I'm looking forward to reading more from this writer

A Likeable series with a smartass nevromancer

The story does tend to get a little convoluted and the narrator could use more vocal range than just using an accent to distinguish between the characters - still I will get the next set of three to finish the series
