Awesome Arangements

This was nice to hear. I never knew much about The Roots but I do remember seeing them on Jimmy Fallon. I love jazz compositions. Hearing this story gives me great inspiration. Thanks for the insight about how we change every 7 years!

What A Cliffhanger
Revisado: 12-22-22
This book is amazing. I couldn't stop listening. I started to feel as though Davis really wanted to be there for Rhea. Should I already conclude that Davis is no more? Rhea is never going to know the truth about what happened with Davis and how he lived her in his way. The end left me wanting to know more. Is it safe to say that Davis is truly a part of his children's life because when one life ends another begins? Great storytelling! From one author to another, I appreciate the details and love that went into the making of this piece!

That's My Business
Revisado: 02-15-22
I enjoyed every moment of listening to this book. Tabitha Brown is so natural and unique. She has stayed true to herself. Once she understood what God had planned for her life the rest was is history. I almost shed a couple of tears because I absolutely can relate to her on a lot of levels. Im not where I want to be yet but I ain't where I used to be but I am determined. I felt like I was listening to a friend, an aunt, or sister that just wanted to encourage me to live my best life and help me on my journey. Her words are like breaths of fresh air and her tone was so sincere. I enjoyed the recipes too. My favorite recipe is the fried peaches and biscuits. I will use a couple of them and adjust according to my liking because that's my business. Congrats Tabitha Brown and I am so proud of you. I hope that you continue to receive those dimes!

Historia
Surrender, white people! After 400 years of white supremacy in America, a reckoning is here. Time to listen up, look history in the face, and surrender unjust privilege. These are the terms of peace - and they are unconditional. Hope you have a sense of humor, because this is going to sting. The legendary activist/comedian and author of the “hilarious yet soul-shaking” (Black Enterprise) best seller How Not to Get Shot returns to address a nation on the edge of civil war.

Excellent Point
Revisado: 12-03-20
I enjoyed listening and learning from D.L. Hughley. He was on point about everything he said. He was blunt and made excellent points concerning slavery, gentrification, chicken, reparations, and bronze statues. I especially liked when D.L. stated that black people's view of the good old days is different from a how a white person defines the good old days. It is so true that black and white people see America differently. I believe in starting a conversation that impacts change. We can all learn a thing or two from each other. Change is inevitable and it needs to happen. Change should not be a matter if force but a matter of choice. This is great research for a script I'm writing. I will have to check out more of his books. Excellent job!

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Revisado: 01-25-18
I loved every minute of this audible book. It was almost as if I was sitting right next to Tiffany while she tells her story. The tone was perfect and the dramatic effects were even better. I am so proud of Tiffany. With all the craziness in her life she still managed to find the joy and brightside of it all. She is right where she needs to be. Thanks for the inspiration and thank you for being brave enough to share your story. May you forever be blessed and never stop being you!
