The plot was good up to one point. Once the truth came out, and it became a revenge plot with dubcon, it lost me. Maybe everything works out at the end, but this twist lost it for me.

Susan and Caroline have such wonderful minds! They made such a neat duet that had me laughing. My Glinda is one happy duck!
The only issue I had was the female narrator. Every time she “spoke” as Niall, it always came across as an extremely p!ssed off pirate with hints of Irish accents, no matter the mood of the scene. I wonder if she would have listened to the first book to hear how Troy and Kiera narrated Niall, she may have added more personality to his “voice”

I really wanted to like this story but it was frustrating with how much the characters flip-flopped between. One minute she’s a total bada$$ and in the next chapter she neatly falling apart because of this massive secret she is too afraid to share. Also, one minute the guys are full of animosity and distant, and then 180-switch to deeply in love. It’s like we needed to get to the next plot point transitions that just don’t make sense or provide clarification. I made it to chapter 17 and gave up.

Some of the chapters are missing. I pulled up the book to compare. It’s normal for book chapters and audiobook chapters to be off by one (because of the opening credits etc.) but the books chapter 28 should have played after the audiobook’s chapter 23, but it skips to the book’s chapter 29. Which means that I missed other audiobook chapters too. I’ve removed/redownloaded this a few times but it’s still missing chapters.

Cozy really resonated with me in so many ways. As a stroke survivor, it was kinda neat to relate to a FMC in a way I’ve never related to before. Well done!! And the HEA was so sweet and gives me hope for my own HEA.

Scottish, Russian, Italian, or Polish?

I enjoyed the story but the female narrator’s “Scottish” accent was really difficult to listen to.
I’m sure she tried her best and kudos for her commitment.
I had to go back and re-listen several times because I was more focused on what accent was being done, rather than follow the storyline. I kept drifting from a story in the Scottish Highlands to suddenly being in Poland or wondering if the narrator was having a stroke instead of trying to mimic a Scottish brogue. When I revisit this story, I’ll listen to it through Alexa instead.

I’m not sure if this was the narrator’s first audiobook recording or what, but I had a really hard time listening to her read the book. I made it about four chapters before I canned the audio and just read the book.

1. The narrator was very “Valley Girl” in her performance. I didn’t know if that was her, or the character she was trying to portray, but unfortunately it made the main character seem really b*tchy and unlikable, which didn’t match the character description.

2. It was like the narrator was trying to stuff as many words in to a minute as possible. I tried slowing down the audio speed, but that didn’t do any good because of point 3.

3. She rarely paused, changed tone, or gave any audible cues when a scene transitioned, a character had an internal monologue, or a conversation occurred between characters. I had to hit rewind several times to make sure I was following the story.

Again, after about four chapters, I gave up and went back to the book.
