This is DC Smith's third investigation with the Diver and Diver Associates agency. They have been asked by a member of Norfolk's aristocracy to look into the tragic death of her younger brother, Freddie, the late Lord Thorpe of the title. The inquest verdict was of misadventure, but it isn't long before Smith begins to suspect there has been a serious miscarriage of justice.

Love Peter Grainger’s writing and the narration by Gildart Jackson. And then the story comes to a close and I am left feeling like I lost a friend…. These books are so good, i wish they would go on and on…..

Historia
The Longevity Solution explains how to incorporate time-honored wellness traditions while doing away with fads, unnecessary supplements, and unsubstantiated wellness practices. It investigates the dietary habits and other practices of the healthiest, longest-lived humans on the planet, who live in regions known as Blue Zones, as a model for what and how we should eat. It teaches the benefits of intermittent fasting and calorie restriction, which have been shown to slow the aging process, while consuming proper ratios of protein and healthy fats.

It’s like listening to Google research
Revisado: 07-19-23
The fasting section based on Dr Fung’s book is the only useful portion. The rest reads like a collection of articles that you could find online. I would suggest buying Dr Fung’s book on fasting and passing on this one.

Historia
Roger Stringer grew up in rural Mississippi, hunting and eating everything from deer to rabbits. When he had two sons, Zac and Justin, he gave them guns and took them to the woods as well. Then one day when the boys were home alone, he got a call from Zac that Justin had been shot. What follows is an intimate and gripping memoir about the shooting’s aftermath. The story moves between the perspectives of Roger and Zac as they take us through their journey of betrayal, redemption, and ultimately confrontation with a company that had kept its corruption a secret for decades.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Historia
Tara never imagined her introduction to Ireland like this - carrying her mam's ashes to honor her final request: "Tell Johnny I'm sorry.... Take me home." She's never met her mam's estranged brother, Johnny Meehan, who owns an architectural salvage business in Galway. Although Tara is immediately charmed by the medieval city, the locals seem wary of strangers, and a gypsy warns her that death is all around. When Tara arrives at her uncle's stone cottage, the prophesy seems true. A dead man lies sprawled over the threshold in a pool of blood.

I was disappointed to learn most of the recipes are in a different book.
Revisado: 05-22-21
I feel this book is helpful if you are just beginning your research on kidney disease. The information is at a broad level. While it’s helpful to learn how the kidneys work, I would have liked the book to be richer and more detailed in the second half. I wish the description pointed out it was for newbies to this subject.
The performance was so robotic. If you are listening to this book, chances are it’s not for fun. So the voice could have been more human and less like a male Siri.
And lastly, from the description, I thought this book would have more food information and more recipes. It wasn’t until I got to that section, that the announcer said to reference their other books for more than this handful of basic recipes. So I am a bit disappointed.
