The Grayman rides again
Revisado: 06-07-23
This is another enjoyable story of the adventures of the Grayman. Yes it is somewhat predictable, but it’s entertaining.I listened to the last six hours, while taking commercial flights. Had a half hour to go in the story, and just had to hear the end. There was a change in how I perceived one character from past books in this series, but all in all enjoyable.

Another home run for Surge
Revisado: 05-26-23
The adventures of Surge and Coleman just get better and better. As Tim Dosey goes on in his works, his plots with multiple and unrelated threads that weave together in the end just get more enjoyable. After this book it’s time for a road trip to the Keys.

Entertaining but
Revisado: 10-19-22
First, and I write a a trauma surgeon with 30+ years experienced, you don’t have to get the bullet out. Clean the wound, put a dressing on and don’t close the wound. Digging in the wound and then closing it is sure to give you a deep abscess. You do have to get shot gun wading out.
This story was entertaining, but not realistic. Like many tales such as this, the protagonist always happens to have that rare item he happens to need (in this case a hobo named Macgyver). Another word of advice, you build a fire and you will light up on IR sensors. If you feel warm, the guys in the AC-130 can see you.

Another great story by Tom Dorsey. I love the Florida trivia mixed with Surge’s ingenious bonus rounds.

Historia
Taking place during the most critical period of our nation’s birth, The First Conspiracy tells a remarkable and previously untold piece of American history that not only reveals George Washington’s character, but also illuminates the origins of America’s counterintelligence movement that led to the modern day CIA. In 1776, an elite group of soldiers were handpicked to serve as George Washington’s bodyguards. Washington trusted them; relied on them. But unbeknownst to Washington, some of them were part of a treasonous plan.

A long run for a short slide.
Revisado: 06-23-21
At times there was brilliance to this story. At one point it reminded me of a sci-fi Catch-22.
Unfortunately, a long story with a weak ending. If this is a set up for a series, this title could have been more concise. In this way it was like Steven King’s reissue of the Stand, which had a number of pages excised without any loss of content.

Historia
Late Victorian London. When James Miller, the most respectable of Scottish businessmen, is pulled, dead, from the Thames, his daughter is drawn into an investigation which reveals a whole world of secrets and corruption. Alongside local detective Culley, Catriona’s search for her father’s killer leads all the way to the tragic truth behind the ghostly legend of The Darkwater Bride and the power of her deadly kiss. The Darkwater Bride combines the genres of the Victorian mystery thriller with the equally classic Victorian mode of the ghostly tale.

This performance can make me understand why my parents liked radio productions in the past. This is a great story line reminiscent of the early Dark Shadows that is produced, directed, and performed very well,
This will be worth a second listen in the future,

Historia
100,000 years ago the object hit the lake at the deepest point, quickly sinking into its mile-deep Stygian darkness. The sheets of ice closed, time moved on and the land forgot. But over the centuries, legends grew of people vanishing, of strange, deformed animals and of an unexplained luminescence down in the lake depths. When Marcus Stenson won the lucrative contract to create a sturgeon fish farm on the site of disused paper mill on the shore of Lake Baikal, he thought he had won the lottery and refused to listen to the chilling folktales....
