Tennis anyone?
Revisado: 11-14-21
The 'All Australian Family ' , gorgeous and high achieving has just as many sketeletons in their closet as anyone else. The authors deep dive into each character and how a life lived has so much do do with each choice made this book for me. The twists throughout the book kept me engaged and made me think of my own sibling rivalries. well done.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

the hype is justified with this book.

Lots of layered deep current and past human relationships intertwined with the observations in nature. It draws you in and there you feel the pains and joys of the hero. I'm partial to the natural worlds of marsh life, so it was particularly interesting to me.

A thriller with lots of twists and turns.
Revisado: 08-03-21
I'm not usually a thriller reader, but it was a good story and moved along well. I was trying to guess the outcome the whole time and enjoyed the twists and turns.

I thought it may be vignettes of different guests throughout the book, but was pleased the story evolved along with the main character.

Texas, 1921. A time of abundance. The Great War is over, the bounty of the land is plentiful, and America is on the brink of a new and optimistic era. But for Elsa Wolcott, deemed too old to marry in a time when marriage is a woman’s only option, the future seems bleak. Until the night she meets Rafe Martinelli. By 1934, the world has changed; millions are out of work and drought has devastated the Great Plains. Kristin Hannah does it again. A Heroine in History
Revisado: 04-07-21
This is the third book I've read of Kristin Hannah. the Nightingale had me angry at Germans, The Great Alone had me angry at men, and this one has me angry at nature. (half joking) A great story about the seemingly forgotten time when Americans turned their backs on the struggle in the Mid West during the 1930s. Hannah makes you feel the despair of the struggles and opens her characters for the world to see. What's really important in life? Love always remains. Well done!
