Brutal. Gory.
Revisado: 09-14-22
More gory than it needed to be. Gratuitous violence in great detail. Too much. Not in par to the other books, thank goodness.

Historia
Hudson Powell had always been a drifter, but after his father died, he vowed to turn his life around. He quit freelancing as a starship pilot and joined the Relic Guardian Force as a 38-year-old rookie. That was a big mistake. The RGF police the alien wrecks that have been found on every portal world discovered in the last century. They make sure the relic hunters pay taxes on the priceless alien tech they scavenge from the hulks. The snag is that the RGF is corrupt. And Hudson’s training officer Logan Griff is the worst scumbag of the lot.

Pretty good
Revisado: 12-03-21
The story was pretty good. The premise was a little, well, odd. But it was a pretty good story. It was a little tedious at times and I wish it moved along a little faster.

Historia
Lazarus Cain is a member of the Grim Shadows, one of the Thieves Guilds in the city of Eberia. Unfortunately, Lazarus is having a bad day. Waking up in a torture chamber, suffering from amnesia, he'd be pretty much screwed if not for the mysterious, magical sigil burned into his chest. Sometimes a really bad day should be shared with others, especially professional torturers.

Not as good; Graphic
Revisado: 11-01-21
This book wasn’t up to the standards of the other books in the series. The story was disjointed and hard to follow.
Descriptions, specifically of wounds and weapon attacks, were way more graphic Than they needed to be. That level of detail about spurting blood, dismemberment and similar effects were unneeded and more for mature audiences than the other mainline books in the series.

Historia
Flatland is populated by Squares, Triangles, Circles, and Lines, all of which are strictly divided by class and gender. However, our narrator, A Square, living a practical life in this two-dimensional universe, dreams of other worlds. Perhaps A Sphere, a figure from a three-dimensional realm, can help drive home the point. But, as A Square soon discovers, educating Flatland about the shapes of things to come proves to be a dangerous infraction.

Great Recitation
Revisado: 02-17-21
I’ve attempted several audiobooks of Flatland as so far this is my favorite. It doesn’t contain the forward or second edition edits, but it is otherwise perfect.

Comedy of Errors
Revisado: 10-02-20
Well this book is historical and not a comedy, it is certainly regarding a comedy of errors. I found myself laughing at several points.
