Historia
The Founders were the first marked, and they used those powers to build kingdoms, subjugate the land, and enrich themselves. They will not suffer another to join their ranks. Lost in a world with levels, stats, and monsters, Hal fights to survive in an unforgiving land, and to escape execution from its rulers. Ingenuity and courage won’t be enough. With marked powers he doesn’t understand, he’s easy prey for all the goblins, bandits, aberrations, and foul monsters that plague the realm. He’ll need to abandon his humanity by embracing the beast within.

good story horrible narrator
Revisado: 11-08-23
Another great monster hunter book but I think I would have rather listened to Oliver do his Julie voice for 15 hrs then have this narrator.
Everyone sounds the same and so many miss pronounced words

Historia
Raze is "just" a lowly Gearblin chained to the quest-giver desk at the worst (and only) arcade in town. And that’s a problem for her. It means that she’s a Non-Participating Citizen, someone who can’t see her stats nor make opposed rolls against Heroes. It’s why her life’s worth less than the vendor trash she doles out. The old-timers swear it didn’t used to be like this; their issues only began once RNGesus went AFK a thousand years ago, leaving the questionably blessed Heroes to conquer everything without consequence.

Ben sat down to play a brand-new MMORPG, Eternal Journey Online. Next thing he knew, he had been transformed into his character, first-level Paladin Hawke Lightseeker, and found himself in a corpse-filled cavern complex crawling with monsters and undead. Armed with a sentient sword, Hawke must learn the rules of a reality where magic and power-leveling are as real as swords and knives, and where you only get a limited number of respawns before you die for good.

Not on par with Jonathan's other work
Revisado: 04-21-20
I want to start by saying that everything else that I have read by this author is really good.
That being said this book was very disappointing. The narration was horrible but that's not this author's fault, I've had other books narrated by this narrator and it's never good but the writing also was not as good as normal the main character was very irritating and useless and over explained , over 75% of this book is dedicated to explaining the mindset of the main character which is totally unnecessary When you have such a useless man character the only good thing that came out of this book was meeting monk Addison he is only a sub character but is the only thing that made this book worth listening to but It's the only Jonathan mayberry book that I will never listen to again

Historia
Charlie Naylor is a good guy, but he's never been great at multi-tasking. When Larynk, the god of corn, sends Charlie into a fantasy game, he just can't help himself trying. By combining his love of daggers, magic, and animals, he becomes the Blademage Beastmaster. With a dangerous new pet, a deadly selection of daggers, and some awesome spells, he must make allies and kill monsters as he walks his path to glory. If he can do that, then he might just create a legacy for himself.

I really wanted to like this book
Revisado: 01-23-20
When I seen the title Back of this book I thought it sounded good there should be more books about beast masters but I can't tell if it's just the writing or the narrator but I think niether is very good story slow repetitive at the author makes a lot of mistakes Such as forgettings one of his characters only has 1 hand as she claps to activate spells on a fairly regular basis.
I made it all the way through the book but it was just not enjoyable the idea is good but none of the characters are likable and the stories slow and predictable

After the War of the Gods, the demons were cast out and fell to the world. Mankind was nearly eradicated by the seemingly unstoppable beasts until the gods sent the great hero, Ramrowan, to save them. He united the tribes, gave them magic, and drove the demons into the sea. Ever since, the land has belonged to man, and the oceans have remained an uncrossable hell, leaving the continent of Lok isolated.

New narrator... not much better but new
Revisado: 12-04-14
Great story but if you are going to go to the trouble of re-recording a whole series you think you would get a good narrator like Chritian Rummel , Sean Runnette or Oliver Wyman. This guy Mark Gagliardi does a slightly better job but he occasionally slips into this bad batman voice when doing the main character. once you get over that its a good book .
