Refreshing and engaging

I really loved this book. It's original and didn't make me feel 'oh I've seen this idea before'.
The characters are well rounded and the world they live in is well thought up. I had a hard time setting it down to focus on other things as I was drawn in and wanted desperately to know what would happen next. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I loved this book - from the playful banter and the sarcasm to the heartrending, romantic or steamy moments between the main characters, this story captures your attention and keeps it.
I am not often this impressed with fantasy world building - although it is another fae world it does not follow the same regurgitated lore as all the others, the addition of a polytheistic pantheon of gods and alchemism as another form of 'magic' helps to change it up.
And then of course, who doesn't love a shadow wielding badass love interest with amazing bedroom skills.....

I love this series! The level of emotion it provokes and the twists and turns in the story are amazing. The depth of the relationship between the characters is so well developed and had me staying up way too late to finish just another chapter.....

This series is so extremely underrated and more people should know about it.
I have read and reread this book and entire series. Now I've also listened to it and it was a whole new experience.
I absolutely love the writing style. I was gripped from the start and could not wait to find out what happens.
Amazing character development and a plot full of twists and revelations.
Simply amazing!!
